Responsibilities: - Responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting a series of registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process. - In compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assists qualified donors in completing the screening process. The screening procedures includes but are not limited to: assessing the self-administered health history, answering basic medical questions associated with the donation process, referring donors to medical staff when appropriate and performing health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature. Performs finger stick to obtain sample to obtain donor's hematocrit and total protein levels. - Upon completion of the appropriate training, may educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma. OR C. A bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree from an accredited college/university that included 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry), one semester (one quarter) of mathematics, AND Five years of full time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids. This combination of education and experience must have provided knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of medical technology equivalent to that provided by the full 4-year course of study described in A or B above. All science and mathematics courses must have been acceptable for credit toward meeting the requirements for a science major at an accredited college or university. Acceptable experience is responsible professional or technician experience in a hospital laboratory, health agency, industrial medical laboratory, or pharmaceutical house; or teaching, test development, or medical research program experience that provided an understanding of the methods and techniques applied in performing professional clinical laboratory work. Certification/licensure as a medical technologist (generalist) obtained through written examination by a nationally recognized credentialing agency or State licensing body is a good indication that the quality of experience is acceptable. Greet our patients as they enter the store, identify patients' needs to ensure an easy and memorable experience while providing information about available products and services. Answer customers' inquiries and gather necessary information to ensure a positive experience. Schedule and confirm appointments Assist with patient complaint resolution and inform the status of pending orders; ensure all patient expectations are met. Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties when necessary. Maintain patient records confidential and secure in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Other duties as assigned and required. Key Qualifications You have a high school diploma or equivalent. You have 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients and/or customers. You have the skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people. You have a passion for customer satisfaction and maintain a positive demeanor. You remain proactive and execute problem solving skills to address potential patients concerns or rebuttals. You are driven by results and have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment. You have schedule flexibility? Work hours will be determined based on business needs You enjoy working with technology and are curious about current innovations Optical experience is a plus.
