Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Crook County Medical Services District is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team! This position will report to the Medical Laboratory Supervisor and will support both the hospital and clinics. Essential Functions: Performs various clinical testing including chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follow laboratory procedures for specimen collection, test analysis, reporting and record keeping. Adhere to laboratory quality control standards and policies, including documentation of all quality control values and activities. Perform instrument calibration/recalibration as indicated by test and/or instrument specification with appropriate documentation. Perform analyzer maintenance with appropriate documentation as indicated by analyzer specification. Maintains competency in all assigned work areas of testing in the laboratory and perform proficiency testing as required to a minimal level of 80%.
