ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Food Service:
Disinfect and clean all surfaces in the dining room.
Empty and clean trash cans, stock all supplies in dining room and pantries.
Retrieve food and supplies from St. Vincent hospital, set up and serve patient meals, label food, record food temperatures, prepare food trays and deliver trays to Medical Unit.
Refrigerate leftovers and return dirty dishes to St. Vincent hospital after meal is served.
Sweep and mop floors in dining room, fill soap dispensers, hand sanitizer and paper towels.
Prepare coffee, refill juice and milk dispensers, and fill salt and pepper shakers.
Clean all appliances and steam tables.
Housekeeping:
Empty garbage in all rooms and line garbage cans with clean liners. Place garbage in outside garbage dumpster.

RiverStone Health Clinics are here for everyone. It doesn't matter how much you earn, whether you have health insurance, or whether you've managed to take good care of your health in the past. Our healthcare providers work as a team to provide the best possible care for you and your family. Our patients are at the center of the partnership we build with you and your family. Same day appointments for minor injuries or illnesses often mean you can avoid the expense of emergency department visits. In addition to our main Clinic in Billings, we have satellite Clinics in Bridger, Joliet, Worden and school-based clinics at Orchard Elementary School and Medicine Crow Middle School open to all students in Billings Public Schools and their families.
We accept most insurance plans and provide clinic services to anyone in need, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. As a federally funded Community Health Center, RiverStone Health Clinics offer a sliding fee scale that allows us to adjust charges for healthcare services based on income and family size. In addition, we accept payment from Medicare, Medicaid, Healthy Montana Kids and private health insurance plans. If you are uninsured, we can help you find health insurance coverage that fits your needs and your budget.
We provide care for the whole family, from pre-natal care, caring for infants and children to aging adults. We work with you in screening, preventing and managing chronic diseases like diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure or heart disease. We can also help you get dental care or behavioral health counseling. The RiverStone Health Pharmacy is the only pharmacy on Billings' South Side, meeting the needs of our patients and community residents.
Job Summary:
The position performs administrative and certain clinical duties. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed.
Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Medical Assistant Services 95%
Communicate with patients, collect and document information.
Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and other related information.
Schedule a variety of appointments and keep calendar(s) up to date.
Maintain and prepare patient charts and records.
Ensure all forms and documents are completed and forwarded as needed.
Prepare rooms for examination including setting up instruments and materials.
Clean and sanitize rooms and equipment.
Maintain supplies and supply rooms by ordering inventory and organizing.
Perform general office duties such as answering phones, making copies, completing forms, etc.
Population health outreach for assigned providers' patient panels
Perform point of care testing as needed
Answer patient questions and refer when needed.
Recognize and educate staff that managing patient care is a team effort that involves clinical and nonclinical staff (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, educators, front desk staff, schedulers, etc.) interacting with patients to achieve stated objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
* Current American Heart Association (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date
* This position requires one of the following: Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Montana
* Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
* Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
* Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
* Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
* Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

A Limited Scope Medical assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. A Limited Scope Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions. Under the direction of the Clinician, the Limited Scope Medical Assistant will provide care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient's visit and condition. Additionally, the MA Limited Scope Radiographer performs imaging exams for which the employee meets the Medical Group's Core Exam Specifications and as allowed by their Limited Scope Radiographer License. Caregivers must demonstrate competency in these areas through successful completion of skills test/competency review.

Essential Functions
