    The Scribe position is responsible for assisting the physician in accurately documenting and transcribing interactions between the patient and physician. The position works collaboratively with nursing and clerical staff to maintain efficient patient flow and performs other patient-related tasks as assigned by the physician. Also works to be personal and professional assistant to offer personalized support to the physician. Responsibilities: Accompanies physician into the patient examination room, in order to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and physician, including proper charting of the examination and recommendations for treatment. Under direction of the physician, transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests. Documents any procedures performed by the physician, in the electronic medical record. Transcribes any consultations or discussions with family and/or the patient's private physician or referring physician. Completes the patient's electronic record by transcribing results of any lab's, x-rays, or other evaluations. Continuously checks on the progress of the data in order to assist the physician in decision making regarding the patient's care and treatment. Lists all proper diagnosis as well as any follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as dictated by the physician. Documents any physician orders relate to patient care and ensures follow-through of pending items. Works collaboratively with nursing and clerical staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. The position requires that the employee be available forty hours per week, and that also the employee be flexible in his/her schedule to provide efficient service for the group. The employee however, will be expected to work no more than five days per week. Many of the responsibilities require that you have a working knowledge of computers and the ability to learn the proper use of the programs utilized in this office, or those that which may be necessary to meet the needs of the practice. The hours, pay scale, and benefits will be defined as agreed upon. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Back Office Supervisor, the Clinic Medical Assistant shall be responsible for assisting their assigned provider in clinic with all aspects of the patients' visit. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work is primarily performed in the Clinic located in Arrowhead Orthopaedics' offices. The duties of the Clinic Medical Assistant are of high volume, and the quality of duties performed is needed to be at a high level. RELATIONSHIPS: The Clinic Medical Assistant should observe and conduct the following relationships: The employee shall be responsible directly to the Back Office Supervisor.     Medical transcriptionist job in Twentynine Palms, CA

    Saratoga Medical currently has an immediate opening for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to work in the Obstetrics clinic at Twentynine Palms military base in California. The CMA will be working a full-time 40 hour work week schedule, Monday through Friday only, with 8.5 to 9 hour shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival. Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed. Check patient's vital signs and perform diagnostic procedures when needed. Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, allergies, and vital signs.
