Qualifications You Need Required * High school diploma or equivalent. * One year of experience in a medical assistant, patient care technician, certified nurse assistant, phlebotomy, or related clinical position or completion of medical assisting program from an accredited institution. * Excellent customer service skills. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills with ability for a team approach to care plus develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of individuals. * Organization and priority skills with detail orientation. * Professional skills with ability to remain composed in all situations and show empathy. * Basic computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record system. * Effective problem-solving skills. * Licenses & Certifications: Current Basic Life Support for HealthCare Providers*; current Mandatory Reporter approved for the State of Iowa*. * Must be obtained with Introductory Period if not current. Preferred * Effective Medical Assistant skills with ability to utilize universal precautions in patient care. * Work experience in a community health center or medical clinic. * Effective verbal and written communication skills in Spanish. * Phlebotomy skills. Candidates with extensive related experience may be considered for additional compensation up to the pay range maximum of $27.98 per hour.
