Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff in providing specialized patient care by performing both clinical and administrative duties specific to the practice's area of focus. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‐centered care. The Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities may vary based on state regulations.
Greet and escort patient to exam room, prepare patient for visits by obtaining medical history, current medications, allergies, and chief complaints and document all information in patient medical record.
Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits.
Support delivery of high‐quality patient experience through excellent customer service and communication with patients, families and other care providers while ensuring a safe patient care environment.
Provide assistance to physician and/or advanced practice provider in preparing and conducting medical exams and office procedures under direct guidance and supervision of physician and advance practice provider. .
Perform applicable medical procedures collect, and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture, as allowed by state regulations.
Communicate information and instructions to patients as directed by physician, advanced practice provider, or nursing staff and ensure patient's understanding of the information.
Assist with scheduling of tests, treatments, and follow‐up appointments, and communicate test results to patients.
Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required.
Respond to calls and requests for referrals and appointments, triage and process messages, and requests from patients, clinic staff, referring physicians and pharmacies. Maintains patient files, records, and other information.
Qualifications
Education:
Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred or as required by State
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Experience Industry: Healthcare
Experience:
1+ years in an office‐based setting preferred.

Compensation Range $80,142.40 - $108,180.80 * - This position oversees a Case Management Agency (CMA) team and coordinates all the functions of the Long-Term Care Waivers and State General Funds programs according to contract and program regulations. Responsible for the direct supervision and development of Case Management Agency staff and ensures that performance standards are met as identified statutes, regulations, and contract guidelines.
Work location will primarily be in the Greeley Office; however, may travel to meeting locations throughout the state and attend national conferences. Physical Requirements
The work environment is the typical medical office environment. Audits and checks rooms for medications residents are self-administering and ensures compliance to guidelines
Maintains open communication with supervisor and/or peers to promote awareness of resident issues.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma; or two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
Must successfully complete the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation at a minimum.
First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.

Job Description:
The Medical Assistant coordinates clinical care, including direct and indirect patient care, and assists the clinical supervisor and physicians in infection control, inventory, and equipment maintenance. The medical assistant's role is to assist under the authorized delegation of physicians.
Responsibilities
Prepares daily exam rooms in the clinical area for patient care, including stocking all necessary supplies.
Escorts patients to exam rooms, taking the required vital signs and obtaining urine specimens; performs dip and automated urinalysis and microscopic preparation and review when indicated.

* Ensure patient visit is more efficient by identifying: 1. Records from transitions of care are available during the patient visit. 2. Results from labs or diagnostic are in the EHR. 3. Labs or other services that are not specified in the standing orders protocols.
* Participate in collaborative measures. Follow and initiate policy for standing orders. Schedule appointments and enter appointment date and time into computer.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
It is a Sunrise requirement for Medical Assistants to be certified. If an onboarding staff member is not certified or licensed but has completed a medical assistant training program and / or has completed the hours of experience needed, the staff member will be required to obtain certification with such deadlines as follow:
* Medical Assistant certification exam to be taken no later than 6 months of hire date. Sunrise will cover the first certification exam expense.
* If unsuccessful, second exam to be taken 30 days after first exam, testing expense will be covered by staff member.
* If unsuccessful, third exam to be taken 30 days after second exam, testing expense will be covered by staff member.
* If unsuccessful after the third attempt, staff will no longer be eligible to perform Medical Assistant duties. The staff member will be given the option, if available, to apply for a different position within the Sunrise Organization.
