What You'll Do
Clinical Care & Phlebotomy
Perform venipuncture, collect and process blood specimens accurately and efficiently.
Administer injections, IM and subcutaneous treatments, and other clinical procedures per provider orders.
Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and equipment according to protocol.
Support hormone replacement therapy administration and other longevity-related treatments.
Patient Support & Education
Welcome and prepare patients for consultations, ensuring comfort and readiness for procedures.
Provide education about treatments, aftercare, and health optimization programs.
Ensure accurate documentation in EMR/CRM systems and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Operational Excellence
Coordinate with the clinical and front office teams to ensure timely patient flow.
Manage lab supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
What You Have
1-2+ years of clinical or patient-facing healthcare experience required.
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant and/or Phlebotomy certification required.
Strong understanding of medical procedures, lab collection protocols, and infection control.

Integrated Case Management is a Patient-Centered Behavioral Health Home that is based on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines for the Patient-Centered Medical Home. This multidisciplinary team-based model includes: a psychiatrist, registered nurse, medical assistant, case managers, outpatient therapists and peer support. The team serves consumers with mental illness and substance use disorder needs with an emphasis on evidence-based therapeutic treatments.
This position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are no weekends, on call, or holiday requirements for this position. This assignment is in person at 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program from an accredited Medical Assistant program
Current valid CPR certification, or obtain within 6 months of hire

What You'll Do in This Role:
The Direct Care Supervisor (Medical Assistant) is a hands-on leader who plays an essential role in supporting our RCA's and Med Tech's. This position combines strong leadership with medical assistant experience to supervise and train our staff, support residents' daily needs, and promote a safe, respectful, and engaging community. With a genuine passion for working with the senior population, the Direct Care Supervisor ensures that our staff and residents are supported.
Clinical Support:
* Conduct lab draws as ordered.
* Administer treatments, injections, or medications as ordered and in accordance with state law.
* Respond to emergency calls from residents.
* Process and implement medication orders from physicians or nurse practitioners.
* Maintain communication with families and physicians regarding changes in resident care or medication.
* Perform clinical and administrative duties.
Supervisory Duties:
* Provide clinical guidance to Resident Care Assistants and Medication Technicians.
* Oversee and assist RCAs and MTs with daily responsibilities, ensuring staff demonstrate competence and compassion.
* Offer continuous coaching, training, and mentoring to care staff.
* Participate in employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
* Support onboarding and orientation of new hires.
* Collaborate with leadership to ensure appropriate staffing coverage, including reassigning staff to meet resident needs.
* Act as Designated Manager on Duty in the absence of the Assisted Living and Memory Care Manager.
* Supervise staff on assigned shifts and maintain open communication with department managers.
* Serve as a resource and participate in staff and monthly supervisor meetings.
Resident Support:
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, descriptive, and reflective of the care provided and the resident's response.
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident well-being and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Promote each resident's autonomy and dignity, maintaining respectful and sensitive communication.
What You'll Need:
Required Qualifications:
* Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited institution.
* Hands-on experience with injections and wound care.
* 1 year of experience with lab draws or possession of a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.
* Ability to pass a competency evaluation conducted by an RN Instructor/Trainer.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Resident Care Assistant, Med Tech, or equivalent role in a healthcare setting.
* Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with older adults.
* Completion of coursework in geriatrics.
* Background in a supervisory or lead role within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance.
