A Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe position is present during a provider's performance of clinical services and is responsible for documenting activities performed by the provider in the medical record during the course of the service. Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe are motivated individuals trained in medical documentation to assist providers with efficiency. The Medical Transcriptionist/Scribe will accompany one provider per shift to complete their charts and help department flow. Required Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Potential employees must type at a speed no less than 60 words a minute. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience College-level introductory biology, chemistry, anatomy, or comparable course is preferred. Current procedural terminology coding certification and current dental terminology knowledge and experience working as a medical transcriptionist in a dental or medical environment is preferred.
