Responsibilities:
Processing transcribed files from outside transcription vendor(s) in a timely manner, including printing reports and envelopes, obtaining signatures, and distributing as appropriate.
Work in electronic medical records to save the files from the external vendor(s).
Ensure accuracy of dates, physician name, patient name, file type, etc.
Review “on-hold” files from outside vendor and supply missing information or flag to physician for report completion.
Assist other departments in locating reports and charts and expediting reports as necessary.
Communicate with outside transcription vendor(s) regarding timeliness and accuracy of product.
Communicate with physicians regarding dictation format, equipment usage, etc.

We are hiring for a **Medical Transcriptionist** at an established biotechnology research facility. Diagnostic cancer laboratory transcription/reporting. Responsible for accurate/timely transcription and appropriate distribution of dictated diagnostic/interpretive oncology reports; to include immunohistochemical, histology, summaries, and flow cytometry reports.
**Primary Responsibilities**
• Transcription and QA of dictated diagnostic/interpretive oncology reports.
• Create and type corrected, addended, and amended reports accurately.
• Complete reports with maintenance of at least 94% accuracy.
• Complete reports in a time-efficient manner consistent with the specified required "turn-around-time."
• Can accession a summary with moderate supervision.
• Efficiently manage dictation files/voice module software.
• Answer department e-mails with moderate supervision.
• Manage the daily department tickets via the ticketing system with moderate supervision.
• Works independently as much as possible.
• Effectively communicate with pathologists, team members, and manager.
