Your Role as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team and provide high-quality care for our residents. The CMA plays a crucial role in ensuring proper medication administration and assisting residents with daily living activities in a home-like environment.
What You'll Do:
Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of licensed staff.
Verify resident identity before medication administration and document medication dosage and time.
Monitor residents for responses to medication and report any adverse reactions to the supervising nurse.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
Recognize and promptly report any changes in resident conditions to charge staff.
Maintain accurate records of resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
Support co-workers by providing assistance as needed or requested.
Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide tours when necessary.
Physical Demands:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. They may function as clinical or specialty technicians, medical administrative personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities. Specifically, Hospital Corpsmen may be called upon to:
Perform emergency medical treatment on SEALs, Seabees, Marines and other military personnel injured in the field, as well as on Sailors aboard ships or aircraft
Perform emergency dental treatment as well as construct dental crowns and bridges, process
dental X-rays and operate X-ray equipment
Serve as an operating room technician for general and specialized surgery
Help administer a wide range of preventive care and medications, including immunizations and intravenous fluids
Conduct physical examinations and assisting in the treatment of diseases and injuries
Maintain patient treatment records, conduct research and perform clinical tests
Assist Navy Physicians and Nurses in a variety of medical fields, including, but not limited to: radiology, physical therapy, phlebotomy, dental, surgery, family medicine, pathology, womens health and more

Responsible for limited x-ray services as needed
Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy using established procedures and safety protocols to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
Patient Registration
Conduct patient registration, which includes securing required paperwork and insurance documentation, and verification of insurance and patient eligibility.
Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments for assigned center.
Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist.
Answer patient questions regarding their care and keep them informed of their status.
Patient Preparation and Rooming
Inform technical staff of patient flow.
Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit;
Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to provider.
Stocking
Responsible for stocking supplies and maintenance of exam rooms, front desk, and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies needed.
Responsible for completing order sheets to maintain supply inventory levels; regularly check expiration dates on supplies.
Administrative
Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files.
Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming and outgoing postal correspondence.
Ensure reception is well maintained.
Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up.
Perform opening and closing duties, which includes cashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building.
Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.
All other duties as assigned.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing abortion patient care, post-surgical care for patients, patient education, completing lab tests, and diagnostic ultrasonic services. The CMA collaborates with Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Nurses, Medical Assistants and/or Reproductive Health Assistants to ensure the highest level of patient care and customer service. Prepares for patient examinations and procedures by checking equipment; reading provider orders; setting-up equipment.

Instructs patients on process to ensure cooperation and optimum test results and readies patients for their care.
Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols. Follows prescribed safety standards in operations of ultrasound equipment. Maintains ultrasound equipment in appropriate operating condition.
Assists with patient education and laboratory and recovery room duties.
Obtains patient's vital signs, draws blood, performs pregnancy tests and assists with other exams.
Conducts tests according to CLIA standards and adheres to OSHA regulations when handling biological material. Performs all test control levels.
Provides non-judgmental counseling to clients by providing support and information on reproductive and sexual health issues, including family planning methods, abortion services and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
Adheres to all HIPAA and patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Participates in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goals.

Communicates guests' requests to server as needed.
Communicates with server and host/hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
Assists server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
Thanks guests as they are leaving.
Is available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Keeps up with the demands of the restaurant.
Maintains a clean and orderly area.
Answers questions and explains rules and regulations when appropriate.
