About This Role:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant who wants to:
Contribute to patient-centered care across multiple service lines and locations
Work collaboratively on a flexible care team that values adaptability, compassion, and mutual support
Help deliver seamless, high-quality clinical coverage and support for diverse patient needs

What You'll Do
Room patients, take vitals, collect medical histories, and prepare them for provider visits
Assist clinicians in examinations and procedures across departments (e.g., women's health, behavioral health)
Document patient information accurately and timely in the EHR, ensuring smooth handoffs and visit flow
Manage exam room inventory, clean and disinfect rooms, and process instruments (including autoclave)
Collect and process lab specimens, label appropriately, and prepare them for testing
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams
Partner with clinical leads and other MAs to improve workflows, suggest improvements, and meet performance goals
Support quality improvement, compliance, and community engagement aligned with Premier's mission

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program (or EMT / Paramedic)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
At least 1 year of clinical experience; 3 years strongly preferred (including pediatric and adult care)
Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic) willingness to train and gain certification
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel between Premier sites as needed
Bonus / Preferred Skills
Experience with vaccine administration, lab draws, or medication refills
Prior exposure to multiple clinical disciplines (family medicine, behavioral health, OB/women's health)
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 30-50 lbs
* Sit for extended periods, use computer frequently
* Travel between clinic locations
* Exposure to communicable diseases, clinical environment
