The Medical Assistant 2 supports physicians with hands-on patient care and provides front desk support such as scheduling, check-in, and patient communication. The Certified Medical Assistant at CoreLife partnered with Novant Health aids with clinical and preventive counseling care to patients through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration all aspects of health with the specific scope of treating overweight and obesity as a disease. This is done under the specific direction and protocols of the supervising Physician and/or the medical provider on-site. Major Areas of Responsibility: Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate all phases and aspects of patient care by CoreLife, as well as ensuring compliance with all laws, rules and regulations applicable to patient care Assists the medical provider by obtaining vital signs, collecting information, updating medical records, performing tests, and communicating with the patient to ensure the CoreLife patient receives quality, thorough and compassionate care during and between visits.
