About the Position
A Medical Scribe will be hard-working, detail-oriented, and a quick learner who is interested in providing high quality care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for the following duties (among others)
Transcribe the patients' visits into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including but not limited to their medical history, physical exam, and accurately document the physician's encounter with the patient
Review medical documentation to check for inconsistencies or mistakes and check to correct the information in order to reduce errors
List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician
Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
Document any procedures performed by the physician
Provide patient comfort measures as requested and permitted

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports and translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms
