Your Role as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team and provide high-quality care for our residents. The CMA plays a crucial role in ensuring proper medication administration and assisting residents with daily living activities in a home-like environment.
What You'll Do:
Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of licensed staff.
Verify resident identity before medication administration and document medication dosage and time.
Monitor residents for responses to medication and report any adverse reactions to the supervising nurse.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
Recognize and promptly report any changes in resident conditions to charge staff.
Maintain accurate records of resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
Support co-workers by providing assistance as needed or requested.
Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide tours when necessary.
Physical Demands:
Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently.
Lifting up to 25 lbs.; pushing, pulling, or lowering up to 100 lbs.
Ability to push a resident in a wheelchair up to 350 lbs.
Utilize safety equipment such as gait belts and mechanical lifts as required.
Safety Requirements:
Follow proper procedures for resident care, including two-person lifts when necessary.
Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and participate in required documentation.
Participation in company drug testing procedures.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an indoor environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. It may include attending outdoor or public activities with residents.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school graduate or equivalent.

Bethel Care Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our long-term care team. In addition to performing all duties of a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), the CMA is responsible for administering prescribed medications and routine medical treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role is essential to maintaining resident health, safety, and comfort in a clean and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Administer oral, topical, and other prescribed medications in accordance with state regulations and physician orders
Perform routine medical treatments as directed (e.g., eye drops, inhalers, ointments)

Required Qualifications
Active Kansas CMA certification in good standing
Active Kansas CNA certification (required for CMA credential)
Experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred
Knowledge of safe medication administration practices and documentation
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility guidelines
Strong interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
Must pass all background checks and required health screenings

Job SummaryProvides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises. Responsibilities
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
Respond to all lab messages and call back requests
Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
Maintain complete and accurate documentation
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QualificationsAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred. Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will be caring for patients in the following capacity:
* Assists provider with exams (including patient vitals), procedures and other processes related to direct patient care under direct supervision of the Provider and within the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant.
* Administers all forms of medications per policy and Provider direction and adheres to all safety protocols and procedures for medication administration.
* Will perform blood draws as per direction of the Provider
* May be responsible for urine collection for various testing to include employer drug screens
* May perform splinting and casting
* Conduct various type physicals such as sports physicals
* Performs other related duties specific to urgent care such as ear lavage, wound care and oxygen administration.
* Notifies the provider on duty promptly of all unusual patient occurrences including medication events on an incident report.
* Promptly notifies the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
* Follows guidelines and requirements of laboratory and clinical accreditation policies.
* Must be proficient in EMR/EHR
* Performs other related duties as assigned or described by Company policy.
As a Medical Assistant, you may also be asked to support Front Office Reception. When working in the front office you will perform such duties as: keeping patients and families informed of wait times, monitor the flow of patients, process patients for discharge including preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining all necessary signatures and issuing receipts.

They ensure the clinic and front reception area is running smoothly and patient flow at the optimum, as well as provide patient care services in the back office medical setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient.
Essential Education, Experience and Skills:
Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND
* Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
OR
* Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) Medical Assistant training program AND a National Certification through one of the following:
* American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - administers the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam and certification; or
* American Medical Technologists (AMT) -- provides the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam and certification to individuals who have completed the AMT criteria; or
* National Healthcareer Association (NHA)-administers the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and certification
OR
* Completed an UNAPPROVED medical assistant training program AND was employed as a medical assistant for one (1) year or more after program completion OR must have VERIFIABLE work experience directly supervised by Provider or Physician Group for a minimum of 2000 hours or 1 year.
Other MA education or experience may be considered upon review and approval from our Compliance and Regulatory department
