Dietary Aide Responsibilities
* Assists cooks with preparation of meals following federal, state and local regulations.

Dietary Aide Requirements
* High school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As a Dietary Aide, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents. You will assist with meal service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and dining area. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will ensure that residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a comfortable setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve meals that are both visually appealing and nutritious.
* Assist in meal preparation and ensure proper portioning based on dietary needs.
* Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas for smooth service and accuracy.
* Deliver and retrieve food trays, ensuring timely and efficient meal service.
* Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing kitchen equipment, and properly storing utensils and supplies.
* Bus tables, sweep, mop, and remove trash to keep work areas clean and hazard-free.
* Provide friendly, professional service to residents during mealtimes.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred

Dietary Aide Responsibilities
* Assists cooks with preparation of meals following federal, state and local regulations.
* Serves residents meals in a timely fashion.

* Delivers and picks-up tray carts to dining area for meal service.
* Performs dish-washing procedures, including pots and pans and all equipment, operates commercial dish machine.

Dietary Aide Requirements
* High school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Food Service Aide
Main Function:
Assembles and delivers patient meal trays and nourishments.
Disassembles patient trays after meal service.
Assists in the dish room area, keeping areas clean neat and sanitized.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
1-2 years previous experience in food service.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Pleasant disposition for interacting with customers, other departmental staff and co-workers.

Duties:
Prepares and assembles patient meals per order in an accurate, timely fashion according to prescribed diet order.
Assembles and delivers trays to patient correctly, carefully and promptly.
Uses acceptable practices pertaining to food service sanitation in their work area(s).
Demonstrates understanding of the importance of portion control; diet modification, waste control, standardized recipe use.
Uses all equipment in a safe and sanitary manner.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
Refers high-risk patients to dietitian for follow-up.
Completes floor stock sheets and inventory accurately and thoroughly.
Coordinates work to achieve maximum productivity. Able to multitask and prioritize workload. Work habits are consistently adjusted to accommodate multiple responsibilities and are prioritized and completed in a timely manner.
Completes assigned cleaning duties efficiently, on a routine and continual basis.
Helps to assure that policies regarding stock rotation are maintained.
Recognizes and performs duties that are necessary to prevent disruptions in service.
Completes departmental written forms thoroughly and on time.
Keeps supplies that pertain to work area stocked, neat, and stored in appropriate manner.
Completes prep work and communicates accordingly to shifts that may follow.
