REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:
The Medina County District Library is seeking a friendly, energetic individual to sort, shelve and process library materials. May assist in clerical, maintenance and housekeeping tasks, as well as program and display set-up and tear down as assigned. Must be able to work independently with little supervision; interact courteously with patrons answering simple questions, give direction to areas within the library, and provide basic assistance on self-check to patrons. Successful candidate will be able to read spreadsheets and search the library for materials; possess a high level of attention to detail; and accurately shelve materials numerically and alphabetically. Passionate about the library and enthusiastic about learning something new is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 16 years of age or older. Ability to communicate effectively, interact and respond appropriately to patrons, staff, community and vendors; and be a team member. Ability to follow both written and oral instruction, along with aptitude for detailed work. Working conditions vary from standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying and moving materials by hand and on carts. Ability to lift up to 25 - 50 lbs. repetitively, with or without accommodation. Ability to use office equipment.
WAGE: $10.70 per hour
