**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Provide technical, educational, clinical and sales support to assist the Region in meeting Cardiac Ablation Solutions sales and customer service objectives.
+ Represents Medtronic CAS during ablations procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technical assistance
+ Receives technical inquiries by customers. Researches solutions to questions or problems (e.g., Catheter, Console, Generator support)
+ Educational Support
+ Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to AFS products and related procedures.
+ One-on-one training sessions
+ In-service education programs
+ Seminars and/or outside symposiums
+ Assists RM and field training department in educating/training new Clinical Specialists and Account Managers
+ Provides training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel
+ Sales Support
+ Updates sales representatives concerning procedure. Immediately notifies Account Manager regarding issues or problems requiring follow-up
+ Serves as effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support
+ Promotes the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures
+ Understands national, regional and territorysales objectives. Works in partnership with Account Manager to achieve exceed goals

**Must Have Minimum Requirements**

+ High School diploma PLUS a minimum 8 years of work experience in healthcare within an EP, Cath Lab setting or sales in cardiac field

**Additional Job Requirements:**

**A Day in the Life**
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Physician Assistant/Clinical Specialist to add to our team. This is a high level, individual contributor that will provide technical, clinical, educational and field support to ensure safe adoption of Medtronic's Surgical Based Therapy (SBT) products and procedures in the US region. Works closely with customers, OR staff and field organization to drive procedural and practice success. Leads regional education and training activities in support of SBT new hire product training.
This role will serve as the customer and field technical resource for SBT. Provide expertise and leadership in the areas of physician training post Medtronic program attendance, residents/fellows and early career surgeon education, wet lab management and facilitation. Will also provide clinic and implant coverage post physician training for procedural and product support of new implanting.
This position reports to the West Area Manager, Cardiac Surgery
**NOTE:** This position will focus primarily in the US but will participate in global programs and conferences as needed such as Europe, Japan and Latin America.
**Position Responsibilities:**
**Technical and Clinical Support**
+ Provides technical leadership regarding implantation of SBT products and procedures. Educates customers and OR staff on indications for use of SBT products.
+ Develops and maintains comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge.
+ Assists and/or serves as consultant to customers as well as sales staff with troubleshooting and complex case challenges.
+ May assist field and medical affairs in customer communication regarding device complaints and/or explants.
**Customer Education Support**
+ Collaborates with sales personnel on appropriate targeting for customer attendance at physician training programs.
+ Engages with customers prior to attendance at training event.
+ Provides post-training follow up including procedural reviews, in-servicing and first case(s) support, especially post minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) training.
+ May be influential in key customer relationships.
+ Provides clinic and implant coverage (approx. 10% of total time) when schedule allows.
+ Participates in the proactive dissemination of peer-reviewed scientific and clinical information to customers as needed.
**Product Training Support for Sales Personnel**
+ Supports new-hire training.

**Administrative Responsibilities**
+ Schedules travel arrangements to ensure multiple objectives are accomplished.
+ Submits accurate and timely expense reports.
+ Maintains hospital eligibility/access with various vendor credentialing services.
**Communication**
+ Maintains a high level of communication with appropriate CS sales and leadership within assigned geography.
+ Ensures a professional standard of written and verbal communication at all times.
**NOTE:** This role requires 70% travel across the Midwest and Western part of the US
Must Have:
+ Physician Assistant (PA) Degree with 5+ years of experience supporting cardiac surgery procedures in the OR (10+ years' experience with a Bachelor's) or (8+ years with a Master's).

The Opportunity
The Director, Integrated Enablement & Engagement Process Lead (EPL) is a critical member of the Field Medical team, collaborating with the US Medical Digital team. This individual is instrumental in defining, aligning, and embedding digital, data, and analytics capabilities to not only meet current business needs but also proactively address and anticipate future needs. Acting as a key connector and central liaison between Field Medical and product teams, this role provides strong user understanding, workflow expertise, and product ecosystem knowledge to effectively embed tools within a complex, matrixed organization. Simultaneously, this role coordinates directly with users to drive successful user adoption of new digital capabilities and initiatives. This role plays a strategic part in identifying business needs, shaping product direction and prioritization, and integrating products into new and existing workflows to maximize impact in Field Medical. Furthermore, this role drives the planning and execution of change management, knowledge sharing, training, and adoption, as well as understanding and measurement activities, in partnership with Operational Excellence teams. This role requires a deep understanding of Field Medical priorities, standards of excellence, compliance, and the ability to intuitively manage, inspire, and build trust within a matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as the primary point of contact for Field Medical capability needs, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, synthesize, and prioritize user feedback, and ensuring end-to-end excellence across Field Medical digital and AI initiatives.
Workflow Design & Process Integration: Accountable for seamless integration of new digital products into workflows, serving as a subject matter expert to identify capabilities, validate requirements, and lead process changes to optimize workflows.
Enablement & Support: Develops and implements strategies to drive awareness and adoption of new tools, champions change management, and designs and delivers comprehensive training.
Change Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Leads complex change initiatives, drives organizational change from current to future state, and continuously partners with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities.
Measurement & Optimization: Regularly assesses and reports on the health of Field Medical operations, collaborates with partners to establish KPIs, and synthesizes measurement insights and user feedback into actionable learnings.
Compliance & Governance: Establishes robust project governance frameworks, ensures adherence to regulatory compliance and privacy standards, and builds relationships with legal and compliance partners.
Who you are
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 8 years of work experience, with at least 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including 2 years in Healthcare Business Analytics.
Experience in machine learning, deep learning, AI techniques, and building impactful data visualizations for medical decision-making (e.g., using Spotfire , Tableau, and RShiny). Strong data proficiency with a deep understanding of data strategy, technology, and platforms.
Strong ability to work across functions in matrixed environments, providing strategic guidance, engaging stakeholders on data and visualization needs, and influencing senior leadership without direct authority.
Experience with sole ownership of tactics or pieces, ability to articulate business problems, identify solutions, and own content development from strategy through execution. Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, prioritizing, and management of high-level initiatives and projects.
Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and customer types (health systems, payers, providers, HCPs, patients, IDNs, distributors, pathways), and how they operate their businesses.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
MBA or other related graduate-level degree
5+ years of experience in clinical development with strong skills in clinical trial data analysis, RWD assets.
Six sigma, PMP, or similar certifications
Proven ability to embed products, embrace agile methodologies, and effectively organize for impactful outcomes, while continuously investing in personal development.

Follow general work area procedures to evaluate electrical system field returns. Troubleshoot systems to determine root causes and potential corrective actions. Analyze data using statistical methods for trends and report conclusions and overall system performance to cross-functional management team. Propose high priority projects to improve system performance and supports team to implement these projects.
**How you'll make an impact:**
- Using tools and equipment to troubleshoot customer returned electrical systems following prescribed procedures and methods. Using problem solving skills and technical judgment to determine root causes and corrective actions to resolve customer complaints.
- Tearing-down (reverse engineer) products to determine root cause analysis and document findings in appropriate systems in keeping with regulatory expectations and following EW procedures.
- Reviewing protocols to develop findings for the validation and improvement of products and manufacturing processes/methods based on engineering principles; analyzing results, making recommendations, and developing reports for Engineering review.
- May provide feedback to Engineering on potential opportunities for re-design/design of basic equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes.
- On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period.
- Other incidental duties: Other duties as assigned by leadership.

The Ethicon Strategic System Lead will:
Understand Health System control and level of individual facility influence
Identify and stakeholder map key clinical decision makers/influencers

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high volume health systems

The anticipated base range for this position is $94,000 - $151,800.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
This position is eligible for a company car through the Company's FLEET program.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
