Various levels available based on qualifications and experience
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products.
Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures.
Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
Understand and support national, regional and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals within all CAS products.
Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business.
Work in partnership with Account Manager, Regional Manager and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
Collaborate and strategize with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.
Collaborate and communicate with the sales and clinical teams in the region.
Serves as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support.
Serve as a regional champion to share your experience and influence others to be proficient in the mapping technology.

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, please ensure these minimum requirements are evident on your resume.
High school diploma PLUS a minimum of 10 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
OR
Associate degree PLUS a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
OR
Bachelor degree plus a minimum of 6 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with minimum of four years work experience in cardiac field, hospital/clinic or sales.
Proven track record with technical training assignments.
Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical / clinical support.
Ability to travel more than 25% of the time
Additional Job Requirements
Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation
Clinical Specialists are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise
Clinical Specialists will on occasion be required to travel outside of their assigned territory and possibility overnight
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to freely move throughout the facility, use a phone, keyboard and mouse, visually able to interact with personal computers
Must be able to stand/sit/walk for 8 hours a day
Ability to travel up to 25%

What you will do:
As an Orthopaedic Instruments Sales Representative, you will strategically promote and sell Stryker Orthopaedic Instruments products to meet our customers' needs. You confidently conduct product evaluations in OR and office settings, persuasively demonstrating the value of our products. Systematically tracking your territory progress, you proactively communicate your wins with your Regional Manager and push yourself to exceed each goal. When onsite with clients, you use your product knowledge and quick thinking to solve product problems and inform doctors, nurses and other staff as to the proper use and maintenance of our products. What you need:

About the Role

Qualifications

The Field Research Specialist is a dual-role position that combines field-based clinical research engagement, technical expertise in medical device support, and on call, bedside clinical support. This individual serves as a critical bridge between research operations, clinical trial execution, and procedural/device support.

As a subject matter expert on clinical trial protocol and technologies, the Field Research Specialist acts a liaison between Abiomed and the medical community, constantly communicating important information to investigators and customers - and parlaying clinical trial experience, knowledge, and feedback ("Voice of Investigator") to Abiomed cross-functional partners such as R&D, medical affairs, marketing, sales, and education.
JOB DUTIES
* Provides field support for clinical research related enrollment and procedures.
* Serve as a technology, protocol and clinical trial procedure expert and resource Abiomed stakeholders, physicians, and research personnel at the site.
* Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of clinical trial sites.
* Understand and assess investigators' interests and qualifications.
* Identify appropriate investigators as defined by study-specific requirements and by the applicable regulatory code.

* Direct patient support in Cath lab and operating room is a plus.

The Senior Scientist will support the R&D team in Fort Worth, TX and contribute to the research and development of novel ophthalmic biomaterials and formulations, driving innovation in extraocular and intraocular applications. This role encompasses material science advancements, formulation optimization, surface interactions, antimicrobial solutions, and preservative strategies, ensuring clinical performance, biocompatibility and efficacy in ophthalmic products. This person will work with different combinations of stable chemicals and use a formula to support the development of medical devices or pharmaceutical products. Create mixtures or compositions of various drugs, elements, substances or materials to produce or improve medical devices or pharmaceutical products.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Lead or assist with ophthalmic formulation and material development, designing and optimizing polymer-based systems, emulsions, and biopolymer-based solutions for artificial tears, contact lens care, and drug delivery applications.
Develop surface-active agents, surfactants, and emulsifiers, ensuring stability, performance, and compatibility with ophthalmic materials.
Apply colloid and polymer chemistry expertise to formulate lipid-based micro/nano emulsions, hydrogels, and stimuli-responsive biomaterials that enhance ocular comfort and retention.
Develop and/or perform advanced material characterization using techniques such as DLS, electron microscopy, rheology, surface tension analysis, and other analytical methodologies.
Identify solutions to complex formulation and material challenges, ensuring scalability and manufacturability.
Support research in preservative and antimicrobial agents, optimizing ophthalmic formulations for safety and efficacy.
Lead and/or participate literature and patent research, informing R&D strategies and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Manage external collaborations with CROs/CMOs to accelerate material and formulation development.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership, fostering innovation in ophthalmic biomaterials and formulations.
Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA) across ophthalmic product development.
Experience
Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Colloid Chemistry, Biomaterials, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
3-7 years of experience in ophthalmic formulation and materials development, including emulsions, biopolymers, and surface interactions.
Strong expertise in polymer chemistry, colloid science, and biopolymers applied to ophthalmic products.
Proficiency in formulation characterization techniques, including DLS, electron microscopy, and rheology.
Advanced analytical expertise in evaluating material interactions, physicochemical properties, and formulation stability.
Experience in scaling formulations and optimizing production processes for ophthalmic applications.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with experience using software for material characterization and process optimization.
Familiarity with preservative and antimicrobial strategies in ophthalmic formulations.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (FDA, EMA) governing ophthalmic materials and formulations.
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in interdisciplinary environments.
