We develop the current and next generation Graphical User Interface for the Medtronic robotic-assisted surgical system. You will be designing, architecting, and implementing new tools to aid development, leveraging Qt Creator tools. You will also have the opportunity to develop new GUI features for the product - investigating and fixing software defects, and participate in the software development process as an Agile team member. You will collaborate with other software development teams to build a subsystem that works as part of a large complex electromechanical system. You Will:
* Work with Qt and QML and the Qt Creator IDE
* Focus on Graphical User Interface Development Infrastructure and Applications
* Enable debug builds on hardware and add useful tools to the infrastructure including the Qt Performance Analyzer
* Enable our automated GUI test suite to run regularly on Bamboo
* Architect, implement, and support an end-to-end CI/CD system for GUI development which includes the Atlassian Suite of tools (Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo, Confluence) and JFrog Artifactory
* Develop new features for Hugo RAS GUI
* Partner with the greater software organization including DevOps, systems engineering, and verification/validation groups
* Conduct both hands on and remote execution for testing implementation of new infrastructure and applications on our robot
Must Haves
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering with a software focus or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or

Working Conditions:
Standard Office setting in the Fort Point District of Boston, MA. Work within a commutable distance to our Boston/Seaport office with the option to work remotely one day out of the week, as business needs allow.
This position requires a person to be able to lift small loads and maneuver in laboratory spaces for accessing the robotically-assisted surgical equipment when testing.
Work travel is anticipated to be low for this position; some travel may be required for software design, collaboration, meetings, or debugging offsite.

In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert on data architecture-related topics and work with existing architecture teams to design, develop, and implement target-state enterprise data architecture. You will also work to ensure security around cloud and data sharing while supporting the data leader by defining meta-model and metadata management requirements.
Where you come in:
Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, data teams, partners, and other key stakeholders.
Work with data leader and architects to design and maintain target-state data architecture, and associated requirements; Proactively share data architecture best practices and expectations across Dexcom
Lead architecture design for data platform(s) including evaluations of vendor platforms for strategic fit
Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality
Provide technical recommendations and engage Architects, Business SMEs and other stakeholders throughout Data Architecture and implementation lifecycle and recommend effective solutions to develop scalable data solutions (data marts/warehouse and data mining and advanced analytics)
Address data-related problems in regards to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration
Work with data governance lead in driving single version of the truth, increasing trust and usage of enterprise data across Dexcom
Document data architecture and environments in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture
Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance

Drive delivery in a matrixed environment working with various internal IT partners
Expertise with normalized OLTP, MDM and DW Dimensional modeling techniques, Star & Snowflake schemas, modeling slowly changing dimensions and role-playing dimensions, dimensional hierarchies, and data classification.
5+ years of Google Cloud Platform experience
Proficient in evaluating data structures and systems to determine when Third Normal Form (3NF) or denormalization offers the most efficiency and scalability
Expertise in Data Quality, Data Profiling, Data Governance, Data Security, Metadata Management, MDM, Data Archival and Data Migration strategies using appropriate tools
