McCormick Paints is seeking a Delivery Driver (NON-CDL) in our College Park, MD. Primarily responsible for delivering merchandise. The Driver is also responsible for assisting customers, selling merchandise, obtaining merchandise for customers' orders, organizing, stocking, mixing & matching paint colors, loading and unloading merchandise, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Load delivery van with paint & sundry products, double checking to ensure that orders are correctly filled
Plan delivery route according to priorities assigned & keeps log book of deliveries
Deliver & unload orders at specified customer locations (keeping supply of paint sticks, etc. on vehicle) and ensuring customer is satisfied with receipt of order prior to leaving location
Return signed delivery tickets and payments (if any) to store
Communicate any problems with deliveries or customers to Store Manager
Maintain vehicle log, according to state and federal regulations
Inspect vehicle equipment & supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water to ensure proper working order and safety
Keep accurate service reports and notify fleet manager immediately of basic maintenance needs on vehicle or mechanical problems
When not making deliveries, works inside store to assist with customers
Assist with stocking and cleaning of store shelves, counter areas and floors
Assist with unloading and stocking of trailer orders
Perform scheduled store cleaning and maintenance duties
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school degree, or equivalent, required
Minimum of 1-year delivery experience
Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
Bilingual - Spanish, preferred
Ability to work effectively in a customer-centered environment
Attention to detail

Job Purpose
As a Mechanic A, you are a master technician and will assume a leadership role in product knowledge and standards of quality within the branch. Mechanic A's have mastered the standard operating procedures at the branch, region, and national level and serve as a mentor to B and C level mechanics. The primary focus of a Herc Rentals Mechanic A is to utilize their mechanical expertise to lead fleet maintenance operations needed to keep Herc Rentals equipment on the rental "ready line". This goal can be achieved safely and professionally through an effective preventative and corrective maintenance program.
What you will do...
* Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of performing preventative maintenance of all Herc owned fleet at your branch
* Operate and test equipment to ensure it passes Herc Rentals quality and efficiency standards
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all Herc fleet equipment and trucks independently
* Diagnose internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems
* Perform major repairs to maintain fleet equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments independently
* Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services
* Assist shop lead with customer damage estimates and repairs
* Enter and review work orders and complete part ordering via fleet management system
* Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment
* Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment
* Take service calls when shop lead is absent and dispatch Field Service Mechanic to ensure repairs are completed in a timely and efficient fashion
* Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
* Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair log
* Assist in training "C" and "B" Mechanics while taking direction from the shop lead
* Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols
* Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
* H.S. Diploma or equivalent
* 3 years of experience repairing heavy equipment
* Ability to safely lift up to 50 LBs
* Ownership of sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services
Skills
* Ability to understand detailed technical schematics, owner manuals, and product warning labels
* Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment
* Ability to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment
* Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner
* Ability to handle assorted tools properly and safely
* Attention to detail
* Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform basic computer operations such as opening and closing work orders
* Solid and proven computer skill set to enter work orders
* Understanding the importance of time management

Job Purpose
Working seamlessly with the sales team, the Technical Sales Specialist will support sales efforts in order to demonstrate value in Herc Rentals technical solutions capabilities. The Technical Sales Specialist a subject matter expert, technically savvy in ProSolutions equipment categories and customer solution designs. This role blends technical expertise, consultative sales skills, and project management to provide turnkey solutions for our customers. As the technical authority and strategic partner, you will work closely with clients to design, quote, and deliver complex solutions in HVAC R, power generation, load banking, and pumping system applications.
What you will do...
* Proactively drive revenue within assigned portfolio of target accounts and mission-critical projects by leveraging technical expertise in industrial equipment applications, sizing, and performance analysis.
* Support sales representatives with technical sales opportunities by developing data-driven target prospect lists, providing on-site technical consultation during job walks, evaluating system requirements, and ensuring proposed solutions meet client specifications.
* Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key customer accounts, applying advanced consultative sales methods (e.g., action selling) to uncover underlying technical challenges and tailor equipment configurations or system designs that deliver measurable ROI.
* Demonstrate solution value and Herc credibility by conducting equipment demonstrations, technical audits, and application analyses to identify efficiencies, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Translate customer technical requirements into detailed scopes of work, technical drawings or schematics to ensure seamless hand-off to service delivery teams, improving execution quality and customer satisfaction.
* Assist in the development of sales proposals, providing technical input into RFP and project proposals and develop single line drawings and or other technical documents as needed
* Create and deliver technical training and presentations (internal and client-facing) using PowerPoint, AutoCAD visualizations, and technical literature-positioning Herc as a thought leader in industrial solutions.

**Job Purpose**
The purpose of the Tractor Trailer Driver position is to transport, deliver and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment and to support the needs of the branch in a professional, safe and timely manner. An individual in this position will operate both commercial and non-commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. + Promote professionalism and excellent customer service attitude
+ Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries
+ Ensure all delivery documents are properly maintained during the workday and are available for inspection upon request by management and/or state traffic safety officers
+ Apply knowledge of driving and/or commercial driving skills in maneuvering at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, mountainous terrain or tight loading dock areas
+ Secure construction equipment and other equipment by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking under the strict accordance and established procedures of the DOT policies
+ Maintain open communication with Branch Manager and/or central dispatch for delivery schedules
+ Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites, facilities and other Herc Rentals related facilities
+ Provide training assistance for customers by answering general questions regarding the safe operations of vehicles, tools, or machinery when asked by customer
+ Report to the branch manager or central dispatcher of any damage to Herc Rentals property that is uncovered by the driver during the process of picking up the equipment from the customer
+ Report any and all accidents involving the driver or equipment to Branch Manager or Central Dispatch
+ Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or any other problems relating to timely pickups or delivery of equipment
+ Maintain flexibility in daily routine in order to respond to Management's responses to the customer demands
