This position is accountable for the Profit & Loss for its location and contributes to the overall profits of the company. Duties and responsibilities · Develop long-term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and · gain acceptance · Identify prospective/future customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to corporate sales leadership. · Plan, coordinate, and direct operational activities for the branch. · Develop and manage annual branch operations to ensure profitability · Develop and implement a fiscal year branch sales plan with regional manager or general manager to include specific plan for top ten customers. · Responsible for maximizing gross profit through customer price schedules · Supervision of all employees; includes recruiting and hiring, planning and scheduling work, assigning work, performance evaluations, salary adjustments, promotions, coaching, & discipline. · Work with outside sales managers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining acceptable profit margins · Responsible for branch inventory from daily cycle counts to annual physical inventory and work with corporate inventory managers as necessary o Recommend branch stock levels, check inventory for excess, damaged and obsolete products. Deliver material to customers and pick-up returns. Communicate with the sales department regarding any issues with orders. Build and maintain positive customer service relationships. Assist in various tasks that promote the effective functioning of the warehouse. Always carry a photo ID and cell phone. Wear long pants and work boots. Immediately report any accidents/incidents to your immediate supervisor. Clean out truck cab and box after each delivery route. Stage all returned material in appropriate areas. Assist with picking or put-away in the warehouse. Additional tasks as assigned. Competencies: Ability to read and understand written and oral directions. Knowledge of legal and defensive driving practices. Ability to meet schedules and timeframes. Supervisory Responsibility: This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports. Work Environment: You will be responsible for transporting goods to construction and manufacturing sites, navigating rocky terrain, and working in all types of weather conditions. This role requires flexibility and resilience, as you will be exposed to varying environments daily. You must adhere to all safety regulations at customer sites and at our branch to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
