Job Summary:
The Membership Director is responsible for driving membership growth at the club by recruiting new members, upgrading existing memberships, and enhancing the overall member experience. This role supports the execution of strategic sales initiatives to achieve and exceed the club's annual membership revenue goals, including dues added, initiation fees, and net member growth. The Membership Director cultivates relationships with prospective members, facilitates the onboarding of new members, and connects members to the club community through effective engagement and communication.
Day-to-Day:
* Increase membership through targeted recruitment efforts and referrals, with a focus on achieving or exceeding annual membership sales targets.
* Facilitate membership upgrades by engaging current members and promoting higher-tier membership options that align with their interests and needs.
* Maintain a robust prospect inventory to support the club's sales plan, ensuring accurate tracking and management of prospects in the CRM system.
* Generate new member prospects and connect new members with the broader club community.
* Partner with the RVP - Membership and Marketing team to develop and implement quarterly and annual plans aimed at generating qualified leads through targeted strategies and effective pricing.
* Collaborate with the General Manager during weekly sales meetings to review progress, discuss strategies, and ensure alignment with the club's overall membership goals.
* Assist the membership department manage expenses and monitor contra revenue to optimize financial performance and achieve net dues growth.
* Actively represent the club at community events and organizations to raise awareness, attract potential members, and strengthen community relations.
* Execute a structured follow-up process for new members, utilizing a 30/60/90-day campaign to encourage member referrals and engagement.
* Participate in the planning and execution of club events and activities that enhance member engagement and promote membership growth.
About You:
Required
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* A minimum of 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
Preferred
* Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
* A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in hospitality, service industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong selling and negotiation skills; sales training is a plus.
* Familiarity with golf or the private club industry.

MERCY SERVES IS RECRUITING A CLASS TO SERVE A Part time , 8-MONTH SERVICE TERM IN MERCY HEALTH EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS IN GREATER CINCINNATI.
The Mercy Serves Member will:
* Conduct screenings for substance use disorder and social determinants of health such as financial stability, food security, and housing.
* Provide education and referrals to community-based resources and treatment for patients at risk of substance use disorder utilizing the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) model.
* Provide linkages to healthcare and social service resources.
* Follow up with patients to continue providing support and reducing barriers to care after discharge.
* Collect data from patient encounters; maintain appropriate, accurate databases necessary for reporting and compliance activities; and provide pertinent reporting as needed.
* Attend personal and professional development sessions, including team retreats, conferences, networking meetings, and expert talks.
* Participate in mandatory Mercy Serves team meetings and AmeriCorps meetings and conferences to learn and share member experience and program successes.
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of AmeriCorps service experience including number of hours served, training received, etc.
* Maintain internal and external contacts, including community-based organizations, to support diverse patient needs.
* Organize and participate in volunteer and civic engagement opportunities and represent the service-oriented values of the Mercy Health ministry, Community Health team, and the Mercy Serves program.

Day-to-day, Mercy Serves members work alongside nurses, providers, social workers, and coordinate with community organizations to improve patients' access to culturally competent care, treatment, and community resources. Mercy Serves members provide patient education, substance use risk screening, social determinants of health screening, emotional support, and referrals to treatment and social services for Emergency Department patients.
MERCY SERVES IS RECRUITING A CLASS TO SERVE A Part time , 8-MONTH SERVICE TERM IN MERCY HEALTH EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS IN GREATER CINCINNATI.
The Mercy Serves Member will:
* Conduct screenings for substance use disorder and social determinants of health such as financial stability, food security, and housing.
* Provide education and referrals to community-based resources and treatment for patients at risk of substance use disorder utilizing the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) model.
* Provide linkages to healthcare and social service resources.
* Follow up with patients to continue providing support and reducing barriers to care after discharge.
* Collect data from patient encounters; maintain appropriate, accurate databases necessary for reporting and compliance activities; and provide pertinent reporting as needed.
* Attend personal and professional development sessions, including team retreats, conferences, networking meetings, and expert talks.
* Participate in mandatory Mercy Serves team meetings and AmeriCorps meetings and conferences to learn and share member experience and program successes.
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of AmeriCorps service experience including number of hours served, training received, etc.
* Maintain internal and external contacts, including community-based organizations, to support diverse patient needs.
* Organize and participate in volunteer and civic engagement opportunities and represent the service-oriented values of the Mercy Health ministry, Community Health team, and the Mercy Serves program.
* Other duties as assigned, including specialized projects based on site needs and community outreach activities.
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED with additional career experience
Preferred Education: 4 year/Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Pre-Med, or similar); Community Health Worker certificate

Essential Functions:
Provides excellent member service.
Performs membership sales, changes, cancellations, and all other member transactions, including program registration and other activities, in an efficient and accurate manner, that occur at the Member Service Desk.
Follows Member Service Desk processes and systems.
Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
Displays excellent telephone skills.
Handles monetary transactions and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
Builds relationships with members.
Proactively solves problems.
Performs routine copying and filing.
Keeps up-to-date with member information as outlined in the member handbook.
Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
Communicates any suggestions to improve member services.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required.
A 2-year degree or applicable experience is preferred.
One year or more of related customer service experience required.
