Title: Principal Software Engineer
Duration: 3-month contract to hire
The Principal Software Engineer position is responsible for delivering successful technical solutions for the Oracle HCM Cloud/Fusion platforms. The individual is responsible for development and support activities with minimal supervision and guidance. A successful candidate will have a solid record of delivering technical solutions under timeline and a proven track record of working efficiently with business, functional, and technical teams. This role's focus is on the development, maintenance, and support of new and existing Oracle EBS and Cloud/Fusion functionality. The Principal Software Engineer will mentor, lead, and indirectly influence internally and cross functionally.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leads and participates in schedule definition, system design, scope definition and development/selection of software solutions:
• Works with a team or independently to research and define user requirements and understand their needs, address those needs, handle problems as they arise, and escalate issues as required.
• With minimal direction, works to formulate system scope, objectives, requirements, and design documentation.
• Works with a team to provide information and development schedules for assigned work.
• Leads the creation of appropriate documentation for all application modifications and new development.
• Develops applications/enhancements within client's defined architecture and following the predefined processes/methodologies.
• Proactively communicates with and coordinates activities with other team members.
Team Support:
• Works with team members to develop, maintain and improve critical internal and external production applications.
• Works with Infrastructure and Service Desk teams to identify, diagnose and remediate production system issues.
• Provides timely status updates for assigned work to the team members and leadership.
• Researches the changing marketplace to keep current with technology and upgrades.
• Provides production system support as needed.
• Mentor, support, guide, and train other team members.
• May support or provide technical expertise within team and cross functionally.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
• Knowledge of enterprise frameworks, systems integrations, software development and testing methodologies is required
• Technical expertise/knowledge of development tools and processes
• Strong knowledge of developing interface and conversion routines
• Advanced knowledge of the development life cycle including testing process and methods, variable programming fundamentals, conditional execution, data structures, compilation and debugging tools

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director reporting to the Sr. Technical Director Engineering. The candidate collaborates and coordinates work with the other members of the Milwaukee project, but also the Technical & Performance Department, supporting the business needs of Veolia's Municipal Water Contract Operations Business Unit in the U.S. The person in this position will be required to provide leadership for the development, production, and delivery of technical and performance projects. The person will be in direct contact with the client.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop objectives for assigned areas and ensures alignment with overall company strategies and objectives. Helps define and monitor Engineering policies and procedures for assigned area and synchronizes with project management and operations functions.
Participates in key engineering design reviews. Enforces conformance with defined requirements and ensures that corrective actions are completed as required.
Assesses and evaluates Mechanical & Electrical systems and control systems and strategies for efficiency:
Pumps, blowers, UV, chemical feed systems etc. both optimizations.
System optimization for applicable unit process areas.
Develops, implements and maintains engineering and technical standards, specifications and documentation for assigned area. Stays abreast of industry related standards and invokes these standards into the engineering process.
Ensures that all engineering deliverables for assigned projects are identified and prioritized in a project execution plan. Measures engineering's on-time delivery performance for critical deliverables. Helps define, implement and monitor measurements for continuous improvement of engineering performance and product cost reductions.
Offers consultancy, action planning and optimization implementation strategies as the regional subject matter expert in wastewater unit process control
Ability to develop and design treatment strategies and protocols with follow up to assist in plant implementation.
Supports Sales and Marketing with technical strategy and experience to maintain current accounts and to capture new business.
Work Environment:
Typically spends 50% of time in an operations environment, in Milwaukee, and 50% of time in an office environment. Travels 50% of the time to assigned area.
Requires working in outside and inside environments with noise and all temperatures and climatic conditions and must be able to work under adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Registration as a Professional Engineer and/or 10 yrs experience in wastewater treatment and biosolids management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of the standard practices, common tools, materials, occupational hazards and safety precautions of water / wastewater treatment plant and thorough working knowledge of NPDES regulations and permitting process.
Over ten years progressive experience in design, project, construction, or management of wastewater treatment plants and ability to troubleshoot and solve water / wastewater treatment process/ operations problems.
Supervisory experience (personnel and project supervision) with demonstrated ability to diagnose complex process problems and manage remedial action.
Demonstrates ability to develop unique solutions for complex technical problems that may include the design of new systems or development of solutions having few or no precedents.
Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to effectively manage resources (personnel, equipment, materials, facilities, funds and reputation).
Demonstrated effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.
Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports.

Responsibilities:
Define and execute a global commercial IT roadmap aligned with BU and enterprise priorities.
Partner with the GBU IT Vice Presidents to understand their business-unit requirements, priorities, and pain points for marketing, CRM, and technology operations.
Translate those jointly defined needs into architecturally sound, compliant solutions that fit Solventum's enterprise IT governance model.
Act as the central coordination point among the GBU IT VPs and enterprise IT teams to ensure that commercial technology initiatives are aligned, standardized, and efficiently delivered
Reinvent Salesforce usage and optimize the martech stack (Adobe, Sprinklr, Cvent) for adoption, ROI, and integration of AI/automation.
Partner with GBU IT leaders to ensure enterprise commercial platforms integrate seamlessly with BU-specific systems.
Collaborate with the VP IT, Data to ensure commercial IT leverages the unified data platform for trusted, business-ready insights.
Define and enforce delivery standards, metrics, and KPIs across all commercial technology implementations.
Centralize vendor management and technology spend to drive cost efficiency and license optimization
Deliver agreed-upon solutions on time and within budget, monitor outcomes, and continuously adjust based on data and feedback.
Ensure commercial platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, Sprinklr, Cvent) are data-enabled, AI-powered, and fully integrated with the enterprise data mesh (Snowflake).

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)and 15+ years in IT, with at least 7 years leading CRM/MarTech ecosystems.
7+ years' experience in leading high performing teams
Demonstrated success in transforming Salesforce and marketing platforms to drive commercial results.
Strong experience in customer journey design, digital engagement, and commercial enablement.
Exposure to AI/automation integration within commercial domains.
