JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities:
Research and analyze technical accounting matters; including, but not limited to, acquisitions and divestitures, consolidation, cost accounting and inventory management, debt and equity capitalization, discontinued operations, foreign currency translation, leases, revenue recognition and share-based compensation.
Perform ad hoc research projects on the identification and application of appropriate technical accounting guidance, rules and regulations specific to new and/or unique business transactions. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with 4+ years in with Big 4/Tier 2 accounting experience.
CPA required or in process!!
Minimum 4 years of progressive financial reporting and/or accounting experience in a medium - large public company, a division of a medium - large public company and/or public accounting firms.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial disclosure requirements and techniques, including US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
Technical accounting and financial reporting acumen, with a specific emphasis on US GAAP.
