Coordinate with the construction team to ensure the correct implementation of the design during the project. -Quality and Risk Management: Implement quality assurance and control systems in the design and execution of the project. Identify and mitigate technical risks that could impact the budget, schedule, or project performance. Ensure the delivery of accurate and detailed technical reports on project progress. -Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Incorporate new technologies and sustainable practices that improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the project. Implement advanced simulation, design, and analysis tools to optimize technical processes. -Technical Representation: Represent the technical team in meetings with clients, partners, and authorities. Participate in technical audits, design reviews, and site inspection visits. -Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8 am - 5 pm (1 hour break) -Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical management of photovoltaic projects or similar. Support EPC phases of projects that move to execution. + Use process engineering skills to evaluate and challenge process design, heat and material balances,balance of plant design, etc. + Verify and challenge design & process aspects of carbon capture technologies, namely aminabsorption, adsorption, cryogenic separation, pressure swing adsorption systems, membrane-based separation technologies, etc. + Conduct technology selection for carbon capture projects by identifying and evaluating potential technology providers and their offerings. + Develop innovative concepts for pilot plants using advanced next-generation technologies. + Integrate CO2 capture technologies in cement plants (optimizing tie-ins, heat integration, CO2 concentration increases, etc.) + Evaluate the design of pre-treatment systems to ensure flue gas meets required specifications before entering the carbon capture plant. Support technical aspects of balance of plant systems, including flue gas treatment, cooling water system, water and effluent treatment system, CO2 compression and transportation. + Conduct and participate in HS&E assessments such as HAZID/HAZOP. + Represent Holcim and the CCUS team in different project meetings and/or conferences, share knowledge and best practices + This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to Holcim's sustainability and environmental goals by leading the critical aspects of carbon capture technology in our CCUS strategy. **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** + Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree or 6 years of equivalent experience. + Field of Study Preferred: Chemical Engineering + Required Work Experience: 10 years experience on industrial gasses, natural gas processing and/or CO2 capture projects: + Travel Requirements: Able to travel as needed for feasibility studies and supporting project managers. Travel required ~25% of the time.
