**What is Oracle Cloud Roving Edge Infrastructure?** Roving Edge Infrastructure Service is an exciting new service offering in Oracle Cloud. Cloud services have transformed IT and forever altered the way that IT services are offered and consumed. While the majority of IT systems are now cloud integrated and cloud dependent, an estimated 75% of all data is still generated and operated on at the edge, rather than in the cloud. Roving Edge Service is designed to enable cloud customers to extend critical core infrastructure services like compute, block storage, object storage and virtual networking to the far edge where many of their workloads operate. With the ability to deploy workloads to edge devices which sync data bidirectionally to and from their cloud tenancy, cloud customers can effectively extend the boundary of their cloud tenancy to reach use cases that exist far outside the data center. Roving Edge service is at the intersection of cloud and edge computing and promises to further transform the IT landscape. As a member of the engineering team for Roving Edge Service you will have an opportunity to help build and operate this unique service
