Position Summary The Manager of LDRP is responsible for the overall direction of the Women's and Children's Services. Position Summary The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of Payroll functions. This is a hands-on position responsible for the overall coordination, support, and accurate and confidential processing of a 9 tax companies and Physician groups bi-weekly payroll. This is for exempt and non-exempt employees of MemorialCare and the Physicians Groups, for over 12,000 employees, and 2 unions under strict payroll processing deadlines. This also includes performing all other duties assigned by the Payroll Manager. Essential Job Outcomes * Maintains a proficient working knowledge of PeopleSoft and API/Symplr Timekeeping system (MTM). Keys, verifies, and reviews data (clockings, calendars, notes, rate, work option, status, home department, job code and effective date) in PeopleSoft and MTM with accuracy and confidentially. * Processes all bonuses (sign on, referral bonus, relocation, etc.) through CI (Competent Interface) timely and accurately. * Processes terms checks daily that is accurate and timely to be in compliance. * Shares responsibility for the processing and computation of the payrolls for all employees of MemorialCare and Physicians Group to ensure efficient service in compliance with payroll department procedures. Ability to adhere to multiple payroll policies and procedures to ensure that deadlines are met, and legal requirements and hospital policies are observed. * Stays current with related labor laws and regulations and serve as resource to employees regarding compliance with California and Federal Wage and Hour Laws. Has a thorough understanding of how each work option gets paid, including Alternate work schedules. * Review employees' entry into the timekeeping system for accuracy, communicates with employees supervisor to ensure employees are paid accurately and on-time. Review LOA, intermittent, new hire hours, no hours and excessive hours, exceptions messages and other MTM audits. Able to understand and analyze the data. Follow-up to ensure accuracy, compliance and completeness as needed and strict processing timeline. Audits hours in MTM prior to interface to PeopleSoft. * Ability to process the payroll close accurately and timely. * Ability to process Tuition Reimbursements and Facility Transfers timely and accurately. * Have a thorough understanding of the Supplemental Disability payments and processing it accurately and timely. * Data entry and review of employee tax forms, direct deposit, general deductions, Foundation deductions, Union dues, Flex payment plans, entering re-payment plans for medical premiums that are due, an understanding of various garnishments, and 2 retirement plans (401K and 403B). * Prints paychecks and mails it before end of day on Wednesday, two days before pay day. * Research any pay issues and able to calculate manual corrections. * Take responsibility for various projects as assigned by management and perform any additional/miscellaneous duties (not inclusive of job description) as requested by the management team within the scope of knowledge/ability. * Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards assigned by management. * Work as a team player and communicate in a positive manner with co-workers, managers, employees, and other contacts. * Maintain confidentiality at all times. * Maintain a safe and orderly work area. * Ability to be at work and be on time. * Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and directives. * Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner. * Ability to prioritize and multitask.
