Why the Cancer Treatment Room? * Torrey Pines clinic has been serving our San Diego coastal communities for several years. * Our highly skilled Specialized Services RNs work in an innovative, welcoming, and patient-centered environment. * The department consists of 25 chairs and do an average of 55-70 cancer treatments including oncology infusions and supporting treatments. * The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team. * Treating all malignancy types, we have a compounding pharmacy on site and are proud of our patient outcomes. What you'll do: * Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate. * Educate patients and document patient interactions. * Practice infection control. * Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice #LI-EE1 Required Qualifications: * ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. * Completion of accredited RN program. * Minimum 1 year RN experience. * Current CA RN license. * Current American Heart Association BLS certificate. * Direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Preferred Qualifications: * 1 or more years RN experience in an outpatient Oncology setting. * Excellent IV skills and experience with central venous catheters. * Outpatient chemo infusion experience.
