Summary:
The per diem Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follows established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice.
***Evening/Night Shift***
2 PM to 10:30 PM / 10 PM to 6:30 AM
2 days per week; includes weekends
Responsibilities:
Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment. Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols.Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.

Noninvasive Vascular Technologist understands all aspects of vascular disease and performs different types of noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards. The Noninvasive Vascular Technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of noninvasive vascular testing to other healthcare providers. The technologist should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and should be self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of vascular diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve.
Estimated pay range for this position is $41.00 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
Degrees:
* High School, Certificate, GED, Training, Experience
Licenses & Certifications:
* Basic Life Support.
* CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer.
* ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist.
Additional Qualifications:
* Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography.
* Must acquire within 1 year of employment: ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist or CCI - Registered Vascular Sonographer.
* Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
