Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
Summary:
Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs.
Responsibilities:
Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involves the patient and family.Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

The Home Health Field, Occupational Therapist provides hands-on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards and protocols. Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all occupational modalities to patients. All duties and standards within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the organization. Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire.
Home Health Occupational Therapist Requirements:
* Bachelors Occupational Therapy
* Occupational Therapist State of Florida License
* 1 Year Occupational Therapy experience
* Basic Life Support
* Driver's License (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)

The Respiratory Intern acquires additional knowledge and clinical experience before completing his/her education in a CoARC-approved respiratory care program. The Respiratory Intern performs basic respiratory procedures under the direct supervision of the State of Florida licensed staff respiratory therapist. The procedures performed will be equivalent to the current level of required skills in their clinical rotation. The Respiratory Intern is responsible for adhering to all required standards of respiratory care and promoting teamwork among co-workers.
Degrees:
* High School or GED
Licenses & Certifications:
* Basic Life Support.
Additional Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program, in good standing, completed at least one clinical rotation and, within 15 months of completing a certified, and or registered respiratory therapy program.
