Exciting opportunity at MSK: Join a world class radiology team at MSK Commack! As a Per-Diem MRITechnologist, you will support the Radiology team at our Commack, NY outpatient location. In this per diem role, you will perform advanced MRI imaging procedures with precision and compassion, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic quality. Role Overview:
* Perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance (M.R.) imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity within an outpatient center.
* Under the administrative direction of the Manager and under the clinical guidance of the Radiologist, perform a variety of MRI procedures while applying their technical ability independently.
* Perform all examinations accurately, completely and efficiently, checking technical quality, and submits completed exams for physician to review.
* Lead all aspects of the exam procedures to improve exam efficiency while meeting patient needs.
* Prepare accurate records and enters required data into information management system.
* Maintain a neat, clean, safe environment, and performs quality control tests as assigned.
* Treat those individuals (e.g., patient/family, client, center employee) who depend on the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the work as unique individuals in a respectful, courteous manner, and focuses on understanding and meeting their needs.
* Work collaboratively with others to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.
Key Qualifications:
* Requires degree from a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school or a 1 yr MRItechnologist program.
* New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
* ARRT registration (MRI) (R), and MRI certification (MR).

Short Description
Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindication.
Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists.

Short Description
Performs CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist
Operates the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.
Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies.
Adheres to all Infection Prevention prolicies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
Maintains licensure and BLS.
Stays current and participates departmental training offered.
Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers/customers.
Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external.
Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport).
Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements.
Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.

Role Overview:
Perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance (M.R.) imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity within an outpatient center.
Under the administrative direction of the Manager and under the clinical guidance of the Radiologist, perform a variety of MRI procedures while applying their technical ability independently.
Perform all examinations accurately, completely and efficiently, checking technical quality, and submits completed exams for physician to review.
Lead all aspects of the exam procedures to improve exam efficiency while meeting patient needs.
Prepare accurate records and enters required data into information management system.
Maintain a neat, clean, safe environment, and performs quality control tests as assigned.
Treat those individuals (e.g., patient/family, client, center employee) who depend on the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the work as unique individuals in a respectful, courteous manner, and focuses on understanding and meeting their needs.
Work collaboratively with others to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.
Key Qualifications:
