Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are currently seeking an experienced Lab Technologist III (part-time) with experience in Clinical Chemistry.
Role Overview:
* Lead Technologist with technical oversight of evening operations and instrumentation in a Clinical Chemistry laboratory.
* Perform technical duties in laboratory sections as assigned.
* Performs quality control review (daily, weekly, and/or monthly)
* Performs routine and advanced equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures.
* Performs special assignments, as directed (i.e. linearity, correlation, participates in test validation, etc.)
* Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files/databases.
* Create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents.
* Contribute to upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area.
* Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations
* Provide direction, training, and feedback on routine laboratory procedures, as assigned.
* Trains other technologists in the area(s) they oversee.
* Monitor Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.
* Ensure smooth workflow and demonstrate decision-making abilities in all aspects of performance in support of the Department.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (Medical Technology, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences) required
* Current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
* 6+ years of relevant clinical laboratory work experience required (4+ years required with a relevant Master's)
Additional Information:
* Schedule: Part-Time Evening/Overnight Shift; Mondays 12 am - 8 am, Thursdays - 4 pm - 12 am, and Fridays - 4 pm - 12 am; Every 4th Sunday - 12 am - 8 am (would be off Friday before if scheduled for Sunday)

Pay Range: $51.18-$81.95/hr.
* 10% night differential for all hours as part of schedule mentioned above, plus additional 10% weekend differential for any weekend hours worked.

What we're looking for
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients in need
* Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus
Other requirements
* Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.
* Successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
* CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
* Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
* Ability to distinguish all primary colors
* Must be comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.

An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team. This is a full-time position (36 hours/week) structured as three, convenient, 12-hour shifts. This is an onsite position at Saugerties EmUrgentCare, with some, reimbursable, travel required.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Clean and maintain equipment and examination rooms at all times
* Collect vitals and brief medical history of patients
* Directing patients to examination rooms
* Ensuring rooms are setup for efficient patient care
* Ordering and re-stocking of medical supplies
* Team support to medical providers and front desk
Education Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
* Basic Medical Terminology
* Multi-tasking as a team player in a fast-paced setting
* Excellent customer service skills
