This position is responsible for the design, development and building of control systems for custom food processing equipment and full-scale solutions to meet customer needs. This position will utilize SolidWorks, Draftsight, and other 2D tools to create documentation from concepts through systems specifications, approval drawings, assembly drawings and creation of technical manuals. RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Machine Design including all power, control systems, and electrical diagrams required to meet the customer's specifications for each project assigned.
Translate concept ideas into feasible machine control systems using a variety of software programs.
Specify control components, including enclosures, controllers, drives, switches, sensors, safety controls, wiring devices, and all other control related hardware.
Create wiring diagrams for machine control using Draftsight or Autocad.
Develop controls specifications, panel lay-out and control device placement.
Provide programming of controls systems as well as assembly, wiring and testing of same.
Design and program intuitive and icon-based HMI solutions in multiple languages.
Ensure that designs strictly adhere to industry standards for sanitary and worker safety purposes.
Assemble complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the Machine/System design.
Writing technical manuals, and exploded views for documentation and training purposes.
Work with the engineering team to develop and implement complete control systems for individual pieces of equipment as well as full scale processing and material handling systems.
Support manufacturing with project management through assembly, testing and final delivery.
Provide on-site troubleshooting and startup support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience providing equipment control design and programming for industrial processing.
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
Experience with RTAC, PLC, and other logic controller programming in electrical generation projects.
Ability to understand and design electrical control schematic ladder diagrams.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems
Ability to specify, assist, install, debug, and start-up of electrical control and power system equipment.
Understand how a machine mechanically functions.
Ability to apply electrical components to a control system to make the machine run as designed.
