It was a job that paid bills
I was allowed to be bullied for four years by fellow employee. When she came at me, I made the phone call to human relations. When they spoke to her, she lied to them and they took her side. It put me in a deep state of depression and sadness as well as feeling helpless. I dealt with unfairness on a daily basis. Her entourage made sure that they spoke against me, and in the end I was terminated. I started there in 1995. I used to really enjoy going to work. That was short lived.
The company gave bonuses when we would make our month. Our store did pretty well overall. They have taken all of that away. They are attempting to do away with much of their crew so that they can hire high school kids and pay them as little as possible.
I can say nothing positive by what I have seen since they have taken over. The company is good at spending money on things that are really not necessary by what I’ve been watching over the years. Yet, if you were to get a raise with your for a few between, it’s about a 2% bump. I find that to be an insult.
Bring George Zimmer back. He actually cared for the people that worked for him. He wanted them to feel as if they mattered. That is no longer the case.
Not pertinent at this point
I really have nothing to compare to make any comment.
Fine I guess.
I love meeting great people. I really enjoyed what I did. I just wish that the toxic and hostile environment that I worked in was handled in an actual fair, honest and investigated manner. None of that was done. So I suffered from deep depression over the years as well as becoming physically ill and shedding so, so many tears. Feelings of rage would come to me daily. That’s now over! They took my bully’s side once again and terminated my job there. My misery is now over and my future now looks so bright now. I’m actually dancing and singing gleefully, knowing I never have to go back!
If you a minority you get fairness but if you are white you get harrassed and picked on
Prejudiced against people of European decent
Insurance at the time was good

I am able to work 9-5, Monday through Friday, and care for my ailing mother, nights and weekends.
