The behavioral therapist is responsible for providing treatment to individuals with behavioral disorders and/or disabilities. This includes assessment, evaluations, therapy interventions, intervention planning, case management, counseling services, education, supervision of staff, referrals from other agencies, training in behavior modification techniques, implementation of therapeutic interventions, developmentally appropriate interventions, etc. Detailed job duties include: Clinicians are encouraged to pursue and develop career path goals and passions. Part-Time 7PM-7AM, 12-24 hours/week Assists the psychiatric nurse (RN or LPN) to provide basic nursing care in accordance with MHS policies and procedures. Actively participates in establishing and maintaining therapeutic milieu and treatment processes. Develops and implements didactic/experiential group and recreational activities for adolescents, adults, SMD and geriatric patients, taking into account the patient's treatment plan objectives and group dynamics. Serves as a role model for patients and staff. Works under direct supervision of the Charge Nurse. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs basic nursing care, and monitors patient status under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse, DON and Nurse Manager, and is capable of planning, prioritizing and completing his/her work in a timely manner. Job Description The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for assisting and supporting the Facility Director and all treatment program staff, in coordinating and providing the day to day operational needs of the facility and its patients'. BHT's are responsible for assisting with scheduled monitoring and reporting of the condition of the facility to ensure safe and orderly operations. The BHT is involved with certain intake procedures, including but not limited to obtaining data when a patient arrives to the facility, conducting searches and rounds, ensuring the safety of a patient during their treatment stay, and assisting the treatment teams with the overseeing of patients' throughout their daily schedules within the facilities policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards of the State and Federal Regulations. This position will be located at Altercare Newark South (AL) (17 Forry St. Newark, OH 43055) and Altercare Newark North (151 Price Rd. Newark, OH 43055). Position Responsibilities for a Counselor: * Conducts diagnostic assessments/updates, develops/revises/implements individualized treatment plans, and provides individual and/or group therapy to residents of nursing homes. * Utilizes outcomes tools to monitor effectiveness of treatment. * Consults and collaborates with other interdisciplinary staff as needed. * Maintains active licensure to practice as a counselor or social worker.
