Coordinate and manage services.
Perform crisis intervention.
On-site services and support
Communicate observations and information about the consumer resident to the Recovery Coordinator, RN and treatment team;
Meet all expected productivity levels, in regard to direct service provision to consumers;
Record keeping as required by funding sources through the electronic clinical record software, and/or accreditation agencies.
Participation in agency training and orientation and assistance with facility management.
Provide 24/7 support to those served by the program through on-call rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Provide case management to eligible CJR Participants, eligible and declining CJR participants and non-eligible CJR participants, including assessment/reassessment, service planning, linkage, service coordination, advocacy, and post-release planning from Essex County Correctional Facility.
Outreach and engage those referred by CJR Partners, local law enforcement, and other providers - onsite at those locations, at the individual's home, or at another location convenient for individual.
The monitoring of service delivery to meet a client's changing needs and advocacy as necessary.
Conduct the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) tool with all referrals
Coordination and integration of services from multiple providers when the client is discharged from the county jail system. This responsibility may include coordination of meetings of the client's service providers in the community.
Provide 24/7 support to those served by the program through an on-call rotation
Completion of all required documentation to ensure fidelity to MI model, and compliance requirements for case management services.
Participate in team meetings to monitor service needs and prioritize vulnerable persons.
Attend agency staff meetings
Attend meetings with program partners and community providers to reach program objectives
Maintain strict confidentiality and professional/ethical standards required by State and Federal statutes and by those standards generally accepted.

Qualifications:
Must have a current NJ Driver's License in good standing.

Job Description
The Mental Health Association is seeking Per Diem Peer Support Specialist for our new program, 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, operating out of Essex county.
The 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program will respond to adults (18 and above) in nonlife-threatening situations who have contacted the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program (MCORT) responds 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use or suicidal crises in the community. MCORT will work in coordination with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline crisis centers. (The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was formerly the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.) MCORT is to be comprised of a two-person team in the field under remote supervision by a third professional from a centralized location.
Shifts are on an as-needed basis for this position.
Specifically seeking holiday and weekend coverage.
Qualified applicants for the position of Per Diem Peer Support Specialist will have, at minimum:
Two years' of continuous recovery experience based on personal experience with a mental illness or substance use disorder (AMI or SUD), and at least one year of field experience working with community individuals required.
Must be certified by at least one of the following credentialing entities: Addiction Professional Certification Board as a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS); Mental Health Association in New Jersey as a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP); NSSDAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS); Certified Wellness Coach; Community Mental Health Associate Certificate.

A valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record.

Providing evidenced based crisis services, when identified by the 988-managing entity, to individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis in the community.
Utilization of Motivational Interviewing to engage individuals experiencing crisis and provide non-clinical support beyond the resolution of the immediate crisis.
Supporting individuals to de-escalate crisis, and when deemed necessary, safe, and appropriate, provide transportation to crisis stabilization and receiving centers, certified community behavioral health clinics, or hospital's emergency departments for appropriate care and treatment.
Providing follow up to community members in need of connections to social services that can enhance prevention of non-emergency calls and increase early intervention treatment access.
Direct follow up with identified clients and collateral contacts as needed in order to facilitate access to appropriate services based on immediate client needs.
Providing weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating basis for 24 hour/7 day access to services.
Collaboration with family members, friends or loved ones to assist and support individuals in crisis on an as-needed basis.
Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.

SEXUAL ASSAULT EXAMINER (SAE) CONTRACTOR
SAE Objectives
Provide specialized forensic examination services to survivors of sexual assault, which will include evidence collection, administration of prophylactic medications, and advocacy utilizing a survivor-centered approach.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of SAE Contractor shall include all the following as required for the treatment of survivors.
· Performance of diagnostic, therapeutic, preventive, and supportive medical services for survivors within the professional licensing and training of SAE Contractor (including, but not limited to pelvic examinations and cultures).
· Provision of expert testimony related to individual cases as may be required by Orange County District Attorney.
· Participation in continuing education training in forensic procedures and related subjects as may be required by SAE program.
· Provision of on-call coverage, for a minimum of 6 days or 48 hours per month, including 1 weekend day.
· Performance of forensic examination services for survivors presenting at SAE Programs located at Garnet Health Medical Center and Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.
· Utilizing the New York State Sexual Offense Evidence Collection Kit, Sexual Assault Examiners administer prophylaxis medications, and ensure the collection and preservation of DNA in accordance with A National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examinations Adults/Adolescents.
· Photograph survivor injuries utilizing colposcope and digital camera.
· Attend minimum of six (6) SAE and/or Sexual Assault Response Team meetings per year.
Terms of Independent SAE Contractor
It is understood that SAE Contractor is an independent contractor, and is not
an employee of MHA. As such, SAE is responsible, where necessary, to
secure, at his/her sole cost, any insurance as may be required by law. MHA
shall not provide, nor will it be responsible to pay for, benefits for SAE
Contractor. Payment of all required payroll taxes or other payments required
by law related to the compensation paid pursuant to this Agreement shall be
the sole responsibility of SAE.
The SAE Contractor indemnifies MHA against any liability resulting from the SAE Contractor's failure to make any required tax payments.
SAE Contractor will be compensated by a voucher submitted for each
individual case.

Ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health/justice involved individuals in the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides co-responding efforts to identify mental health and crisis response incidents in the community, in collaboration with the Police Departments within Morris County.
Co-Responding
Responding to calls in conjunction with Police Departments for cases in which a mental health concern is indicated, including but not limited to: mental health crisis, quality of life calls, wellness checks, and connection/linkage to community services.
Ongoing collaboration with Police Departments within Morris County around appropriate training and education to support a shift towards better understanding of the social services lens and best practice regarding de-escalation approaches on calls.
Developing systems for on-going follow up for community members in need of connections to social services that can enhance prevention of non-emergency calls and increase early intervention treatment access.
Direct follow up with identified clients and collateral contacts as needed in order to facilitate access to appropriate services based on immediate client needs.
Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.
Being on-call and available to the Police Departments during scheduled work hours via cell phone.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Record keeping as required by funding sources through the electronic clinical record software, and/or accreditation agencies as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Job Description
The Mental Health Association is seeking Per Diem Crisis Outreach Supervisors for our new program, 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, operating out of the Essex County location.
The 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program will respond to adults (18 and above) in nonlife-threatening situations who have contacted the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Response program (MCORT) responds 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year, to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use or suicidal crises in the community. MCORT will work in coordination with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline crisis centers. (The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was formerly the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.) MCORT is to be comprised of a two-person team in the field under remote supervision by a third professional from a centralized location.
Shifts are on an as-needed basis for this position.
Specifically seeking holiday and weekend coverage.
Qualified applicants for the position of Per Diem Crisis Outreach Supervisor will have, at minimum:
A Master's Degree in a mental health related field from an accredited institution, a professional license (LSW, LAC) and two years of post-master's full time equivalent professional experience in a psychiatric setting required.
A professional with experience in a crisis setting is preferred.
A valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record.
The ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health in the community. Able to collaborate effectively with community providers and 988 managing entity.
Knowledge of Hudson County resources are helpful.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Crisis Outreach Supervisor oversees staff development and activities of the MCORT office.
Assist the Program Director in the development of the program's administrative and programmatic operations which includes staff scheduling, training and orientation.
Provide remote back up to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff in the field.
Engage with the Crisis Outreach Responder, when necessary, to provide higher level clinical services which includes assessing and determining the most appropriate interventions during a crisis outreach.
Provide ongoing supervision to the MCORT team including Crisis Outreach Responders and Peer Support Specialists.
Ensure training compliance for the MCORT in the following areas: de-escalation, mental health crisis, substance use crisis, and suicide prevention/education training.
Provide education and training to staff on data collection and reporting.
Review and sign off on at least 20% of Mobile Crisis Outreach Response reports for quality assurance purposes.
Collaborate with the Program Director to analyze data an develop reports on mobile outreach encounters, their resolution, and appropriate transition of care for the individuals served.
Provide weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating basis for 24 hour/7 day access to services.
Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.
Attend regularly scheduled meetings: supervision, agency meetings, and training(s) as assigned.
Record keeping as required by funding sources through the electronic clinical record software, and/or accreditation agencies as required.

The Mental Health Association is seeking a full time Prevention Specialist for our New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) Hub Program, operating in Morris and Sussex Counties.
The NJ4S Hub program will provide regional coverage through a “Hub” that will offer proven prevention strategies used to support every student in Morris and Sussex Counties and their families. The Hub will integrate its programming with existing state and local services, to improve coordination and reduce duplication of effort. The Hub will offer a tiered menu of evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies that can be deployed in high-need districts. The NJ4S Hub will provide universal supports to all Morris/Sussex students, and more intensive supports to students in schools with higher needs.
Qualified applicants for the position of Prevention Specialist will have, at minimum:
Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field required. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year experience.
Experience in the provision of prevention related programs. At least three (3) years' experience working in a non-profit social service environment in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs.
Experience in implementing evidence-based practice models and other materials related to training and coaching according to policies and procedures.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy with some knowledge and experience in data entry, electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
Must be well organized, accurate, have good interpersonal skills and welcomes new ideas.
Ability to initiate and handle multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Under the direction of the Assistant Program Director, the Supervising Prevention Consultant will be responsible for:
Collaborates with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, assemblies, etc.
Maintains program documentation, and assists in the programmatic data collection, reporting, continuous quality improvement processes and evaluation of services to target population.
Implements evidence-based prevention services and curricula with fidelity to students, faculty and families.
Trains students and school faculty on identifying the signs and symptoms of mental health concerns and address the risk factors that may impact student mental health.
Participates in all Department of Children and Families NJ4S related trainings and meetings, and receives ongoing professional development training related to prevention science, evaluation, community development and child and adolescent development.
Aid in fostering relationships with community partners and the emergency mental health providers in various Northern NJ communities.
Support and strengthen collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
Participate in supervision and staff meetings to promote professional development and a positive workplace
