The Physical Therapist will primarily provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. The in-home setting could be a patient's private residence or in a patient's room in an independent living facility. Powerback Rehabilitation To You allows the Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat in the most functional environment which is the patient's home. The Physical Therapist assesses the need for, develops, and delivers physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist identifies the need for and makes referral(s) to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of patients. They implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. In addition, the Physical Therapist instructs, educates and trains patients and caregivers in those skills and functions essential for promoting independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology. They direct activities to promote and maintain health. This position provides a flexible schedule and work environment in various settings.
1. As necessary or applicable, supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.2. Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.3. Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings.4. Makes referrals to other disciplines and agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.5. Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.6. Adapts program and/or plan of care according to the needs of the individual patient.7. Promotes a safe environment and enforces the elimination of fire and safety hazards.8. Orders supplies and equipment as necessary.9. Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment as necessary.10. Puts patient service first: ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.11.Screens, examines and evaluates patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures, synthesis information and interprets examination findings in order to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, determine the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it, identify precautions/contraindications and design and plan of care. RBH is now offering sign-on bonus opportunities for qualifying professionials! Richmond Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Clinician I/II for our Jail Mental Health Program. This program is a continually funded grant through Department of Criminal Justice Services. The Jail Mental Health Program is a partnership involving the Richmond City Justice Center, RBHA and Opportunity.Alliance.Reentry (OAR) to provide mental health and reentry services to qualified residents diagnosed with mental illness in the jail. The Jail Mental Health Program (JMHP) is designed to help reduce recidivism in the Richmond community. Incarcerated individuals can experience difficulty in receiving appropriate mental health care while incarcerated and are at higher risk for recidivating once they are released in the community. The JMHP focus on two components: providing robust mental health care while incarcerated and re-entry services via the wraparound model once they are released.
Services include biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy, implementation and use of the multiple evidenced-based practices, and psycho-education groups. The work location is the Richmond City Justice Center. Hours are Monday through Friday 8-4:30, following the Richmond City Sheriffs Office holiday schedule. The successful candidate will perform difficult professional work providing direct clinical service to clients involving intake, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, providing prevention services, managing cases, providing individual and group therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the assigned supervisor at RBHA and RCJC.
Essential Functions
Performs intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews; conducts mental health assessment and monitors level of functioning.
Monitors and manages an assigned caseload.
Assists client in identifying self-determined goals and jointly prepare individualized service plan.
Develops and facilitates psycho-educational groups; provides individual, family and group counseling; implements treatment plans; coordinates daily treatment schedule.
Coordinates case management services; coordinates and links client to community resources and medical services; interfaces with other service providers and client support system.
Provides crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals and families.
Provides consultation, education and prevention services; provides drug and alcohol testing; conducts urine analysis.
Documents and charts information about client assessment, diagnostic studies, individual service plans, progress notes, quarterly and annual reviews, discharge summaries and other client related data, correspondence, medical records, etc; prepares and submits grant documentation.
Monitors and audits clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; reviews documentation for accuracy; assists with reviewing division policies and procedures.
Represents clients and Authority in court and legal proceedings.
Provides transportation assistance.
Provides child care assistance to clients attending treatment groups.
Serves on a variety of committees as directed; prepares and distributes agendas; attends and participates in a variety of meetings.
Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.
Supervises student interns as directed.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
Master's degree with major course work in social work, counseling, psychology or related field and considerable experience working with clients with behavioral health and/or developmental disabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Licensed Mental Health Professional, LCSW, LPC, LCP, LSATP, LMFT or license eligible required.
Forensic and/or criminal justice experience preferred.

What you'll likely work on:
Manage the assessment and treatment of psychiatric concerns, psychosocial issues, and health behavior change through brief psychotherapeutic interventions delivered virtually
Participate in rounds with psychiatric consultant and care managers

Qualifications
Master's degree, or higher, in Social Work from a program registered by the Department of Education is required, with specific training dealing with adult patients. Equivalent degrees (Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, etc..) will be considered and are subject to final approval from the local VA.
Have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed.
Must comply with and maintain all requirements for a valid, unrestricted LCSW/MSW (or equivalent) license in the state of desired employment and able to independently practice at the master's degree level.
Minimum of 1-3 years' post-master direct counseling experience with adult patients. Specific requirements could vary based on individual VA contract.

This program is a continually funded grant through Department of Criminal Justice Services. The Jail Mental Health Program is a partnership involving the Richmond City Justice Center, RBHA and Opportunity.Alliance.Reentry (OAR) to provide mental health and reentry services to qualified residents diagnosed with mental illness in the jail. The Jail Mental Health Program (JMHP) is designed to help reduce recidivism in the Richmond community. Incarcerated individuals can experience difficulty in receiving appropriate mental health care while incarcerated and are at higher risk for recidivating once they are released in the community. The JMHP focus on two components: providing robust mental health care while incarcerated and re-entry services via the wraparound model once they are released.
Services include biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy, implementation and use of the multiple evidenced-based practices, and psycho-education groups. The work location is the Richmond City Justice Center. Hours are Monday through Friday 8-4:30, following the Richmond City Sheriffs Office holiday schedule. The successful candidate will perform difficult professional work providing direct clinical service to clients involving intake, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, providing prevention services, managing cases, providing individual and group therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the assigned supervisor at RBHA and RCJC.

What you'll likely work on:
Manage the assessment and treatment of psychiatric concerns, psychosocial issues, and health behavior change through brief psychotherapeutic interventions delivered virtually
Participate in rounds with psychiatric consultant and care manager
Conduct psychiatric evaluations to support short term disability and provide certification of short term disability
Provide education and consultation to behavioral health care managers and primary care providers
