POSITION OVERVIEW:
Outpatient Counselors provide high-quality clinical treatment services tailored to individual needs, incorporating the latest research and evidence-based practices, while assisting clients in successfully completing their treatment. Outpatient Counselors maintain a minimum of 22 billable services per week as part of the expected clinical hours and deliver treatment in accordance with ethical standards and Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs). Outpatient Counselors also foster a therapeutic environment where staff collaboratively determine the most effective clinical approach and act as a representative of the Rimrock Trails mission both on and off the work site.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical

Demonstrates understanding of diagnostic placement criteria and treatment modalities for substance use and mentalhealth disorders.

Competitive Compensation: Compensation is based on billable services rendered. Earning potential is based upon clinicians who work for us. Clinicians make from $82,660.00 to $120,000 per year (working 4 days per week). Income depends on your ability to engage with clients and the clients desire to continue to see you as their therapist as well as how many clients you schedule in your calendar. Client Caseload: Full-Load is defined as a 22hr-client caseload per week, consisting of variable length sessions equivalent to 22 hours. This is the minimum expectation for full-time status. You're welcome to see more clients if that aligns with your personal and professional goals.
Schedule: There is some flexibility in the evening hours and selection of weekdays on the schedule but there will be a requirement to work 2 weeknights and 2 weekend days (Friday and Saturday). Counselor will be required to maintain 25-28 available client hours for scheduling.

ABOUT THE JOB:
Deschutes County Health Services is accepting applications for a full-time Behavioral Health Specialist II, Crisis Team member. This position is located at the Deschutes County Stabilization Center (DCSC) with work occurring at DCSC and in the community throughout the Deschutes County catchment area. We provide an excellent team environment with support from co-workers and leadership. A supervisor is available 24/7 for urgent consultation. This is an excellent opportunity to become an expert in crisis work as well as develop leadership skills.
This position provides phone and face-to-face crisis screening, assessment, and referral involving a variety of situations including high-risk children and adults needing hospital, residential or respite care. Clinician may perform a variety of treatment services for clients including, but not limited to, crisis interventions and assessments, safety planning, care coordination, case management, and follow up care. This position would require becoming a director's designee in Deschutes County within 60 days of starting in this position. The workload has variety, and this environment allows for your working hours to be fluid and dynamic.
Our Behavioral Health Specialists II work closely with Case Managers, Peer Support Specialists, and Behavioral Health Technicians to coordinate appropriate responses and services for clients from a multi-discipline team approach. We also coordinate services with numerous community partners including law enforcement, 911 dispatch, hospitals, schools, and other mental/physical health care clinics.

International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Behavioral Health Specialists to assess, diagnose, and treat mentalhealth disorders among patients, ensuring they receive appropriate psychiatric care and support. This role includes collaborating with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and provide crisis intervention as needed, fostering mentalhealth and well-being within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides direct psychiatric care to patients via onsite and telepsychiatry services for scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visit.
Consults with the Psychiatrist and/or Clinical Director for complex psychiatric patients and as required by client policy.
Provides infirmary care including admission, discharge, and daily rounds for patients that require higher levels of psychiatric care or monitoring.
Performs comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and initiates treatment plans for patients as required by client policy, or as required for patient psychiatric complaint.
Follows client policies in the management of significant mental illness including prevention of violence, homicide, self-harm and suicide.
Applies patient-specific knowledge to monitor and control stress levels and provide emotional support and counseling to patients.
Coordinates psychiatric care needs of patients including referrals to off-site consultants.
Solicits and reviews pertinent psychiatric records as indicated.
Adheres to universal precautions.
May serve as medical escort of patients as needed, for domestic/overseas travel.
Utilizes and documents interpretation and/or translation and/or assisted communication services as needed to ensure ability to communicate with patients or others who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) or have a communication disability or impediment.

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

Program Overview:
Intercept , developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children.
This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family's home and community-Intercept is not an office-based program.
Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family's unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mentalhealth interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Family Intervention Specialist:
Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families
Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week, scheduled at the convenience of the families
Conducts on-going assessment of youth to determine their needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective
Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development to help enhance clinical skills
Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families in their homes and communities (additional travel may be required)
Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan
Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location)
Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR)
Performs other duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional as it is based around the availability of youth and families served.
Applicants must possess a current, valid driver's license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance.
Community-based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage.

JOB SUMMARY: The Mobile Crisis Counselor is responsible for responding to crisis calls with the Mobile Crisis Peer, assessing the situation to determine client service needs, eligibility, and appropriateness of services, and making referrals or coordinating with other agencies to obtain services for clients and their families as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides crisis and risk assessment and intervention services in support of BestCare's mobile crisis response, including after hours;
Provides immediate mobile response to individuals experiencing mentalhealth crises within the County. Calls may come from a variety of different sources including the hospital, jail, police, or other community partners;
Gathers information necessary to identify and assess risk factors for harm to self or others in the context of the client's current psycho-social state via interview with client and with consideration given to collateral information; makes recommendations for safety planning or higher level of care needs;
Assesses for personal safety in the environment and requests law enforcement support as appropriate;
Provides direction to the Peer team member in completing comprehensive safety plans for each client;
Provides assessment, recommendations, and case consultation to treatment providers and emergency department as appropriate;
Provides information and facilitates linkage to mentalhealth treatment and other social services;
Operates in a sometimes ambiguous and frequently changing work environment;
Respects client rights and responsibilities and demonstrates professional boundaries and ethics;
Adheres to mandatory abuse reporting laws, 42 CFR, and HIPAA requirements;
Documents and maintains electronic health record (EHR) and ancillary records in a manner that assures compliance with all agency policies, program procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. Completes documentation within agency stated timelines.
Reviews/approves all crisis documentation completed by the Peer team member;

Position Type: Full-Time, W-2 Employee.
Client Caseload: Full-Time is defined as a 25-client caseload per week, typically consisting of 25 one-hour sessions. This is the minimum expectation for full-time status. You're welcome to see more clients if that aligns with your personal and professional goals.

Competitive Compensation: Compensation is based on billable services rendered. Earning potential is based upon clinicians who work for us. Brightways clinicians make from $76,032 to $120,960 per year (working 4 or 5 days per week). Income depends on your ability to engage with clients and the clients desire to continue to see you as their therapist as well as how many clients you schedule in your calendar. Your earning potential is up to you.

Treehouse Therapies is a growing multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient clinic with locations in Bend and Redmond Oregon. We work with children and families in our clinics, in their homes, in the pool, and on horseback. In Bend, we are located at the ranch at Healing Reins Therapeutic Riding Center. We have converted the 3600 sq foot home on the ranch into a beautiful therapy clinic. Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrated ability to conduct an assessment for diagnosis within the Diagnostic Criteria as stated in the DSM-V (using ICD-10 codes) write and supervise the implementation of a Service Plan, and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy within the scope of their training.
Demonstrated ability to provide culturally-competent treatment services to diverse client populations and maintain cooperative working relationships with others in a culturally diverse environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of treatment methods for individual, family, and group therapy to address mentalhealth needs.
Demonstrated ability to provide case management services in accordance with federal, state, and/or funding source requirements.Knowledge of community resources and treatment agencies enabling appropriate referrals for specific client needs.

Adhere to the organization's procedures, guidelines, core competencies, roles and responsibilities outlined in the Behavioral Health (BH) program model, which includes participation as a member of the Patient-Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) team and work to ensure compliance with Medical Home Standards and attestation.
Assist the primary care provider in recognizing, treating, and managing behavioral health and biopsychosocial issues. This includes but is not limited to screening and early intervention, psychological assessment and diagnosis with brief psychotherapeutic interventions as needed.
Provide brief follow-up, including relapse prevention and education, with self-management skills and educational information necessary for patients and families to be full participants in their own treatment and recovery.
Provide timely and succinct feedback to primary care physicians regarding consultation findings and recommendations. This may include both formal (in-services, consult responses, medical chart documentation) and informal (hallway conversations) communication.
Assist in coordinating referrals from primary care to specialized mentalhealth services, and step-down referrals from specialized mentalhealth services to be managed through the primary care clinic. This coordination of care may also include communication with schools, public agencies, social services, and other community partners as appropriate.
Work with the medical team to develop specific clinical and behavioral health pathways for targeted patient groups (asthma, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity etc.).
Provide ongoing consultation services for a sub-set of patients who require ongoing monitoring and follow up (e.g., Collaborative Care Model).
Document all patient care in the proper systems and in a timely manner in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory agencies.
Familiarize self with COPA organizational structure, communications systems, billing process, and completes billing and coding documentation within time assigned.
Keep all licenses and appropriate certifications current and unrestricted.
Provide and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, healthcare members and guests.
Conduct all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, supporting the organization's integrity by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violations of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all health system's investigations and proceedings.
Train and develop other staff in the behavioral health program.
Participate in Quality metric documenting and tracking.
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
Required: Master's Degree in related field.
Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Required: Current unrestricted Oregon licensure in good standing as required for education. Ability to become credentialed with insurers (meets all attestation requirements).
Maintain AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
Experience:
Preferred: Experience with pediatric medical populations and LCSW, LPC or LMFT post licensure experience.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse population; superior nursing process skills; strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to make independent nursing judgments and prioritize workload; knowledge of community services; ability to multi-task and work independently.
Epic EMR experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level in person, over the telephone or through use of other required technology. Sitting or standing for long periods of time. Frequent repetitive motion includes computer keyboard use, reaching with hands and arms, and walking. Occasional lifting and or moving up to 30 pounds and on rare occasion up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include viewing computer monitor for long periods of time, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Working Conditions:
The employee is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to mechanical parts and chemicals including odors. The employee has been identified as having the likelihood of occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials, therefore are included in the OSHA Exposure Control Plan with specification for preventing contact with the above materials.
Travel between COPA clinics, business office, and community partners as required.
