We are looking for passionate and empathetic person to support the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). This role will include calling families that have taken part in the NCMP and encourage them to access our free healthy lifestyle programmes.
You will be a connector within the delivery team, to link families who are looking for support within the programmes we are running across local community services and professionals.
Non London - £25,000 to £28,000
You will be responsible for calling families who receive the National Child Measurement Programme to chat about the impact of the results, discuss what is happening for them as a family, and encourage them to take up any of our free services.
Whilst calling families, you'll need to be flexible and adopt multiple approaches and techniques to encourage parents to make use of free services that will ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of their family.
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy having meaningful conversations, have skills around motivational interviewing, empathetic listening and have the courage to approach parents/carers with tenacity and challenge decisions with curiosity.
In this role, you'll be able to engage in meaningful work that truly impacts childhood obesity, enhancing lives by improving quality and longevity.
• Call families who receive an above healthy weight NCMP letter
• Discuss how they feel about receiving the letter
• Have sensitive and perhaps tough conversations with parents regarding their child's weight
• Discuss the support available in the local community and talk through the services we provide
• If families would like support book them into the system and send confirmation/welcome packs, as well as share any relevant resources with families
• Update system with communications with families
• Manage family profiles on the CRM
• Manage the NCMP data

The MentalHealth Worker is responsible for following established policies and procedures, performs a variety of therapeutic activities as specified by the treatment program and the individual client treatment plan.
Essential Job Functions
* Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
* Utilizing a holistic approach performs basic nursing care and activities within scope and practice as directed by the licensed nurse to include the goal directed plan of care for the patient. This may include the use of the CCC van to transport a client to the hospital for non-emergent reasons as directed by the RN.
* Performs basic nursing care and treatments within scope of practice as directed by the licensed nurse to include, but not limited to, activities of daily living (ADLs), providing clients with food and shower supplies, may be asked to assist with vital signs, inventory client belongings and patient observation as assigned.
* Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry into client medical record as indicated by client need and documentation guidelines, consistent with departmental policies and procedures.
* Adheres to Billings Clinic safety standards, policies and practices. Anticipates and identifies problems and safety issues and initiates appropriate action.
* Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of client care. Supports the Magnet Model of quality nursing care.
* Maintains confidentiality within the treatment team and helps clients to understand confidentiality for themselves and others. MentalHealth Workers may teach life skills and other evidence based groups as supervised by CC Counselors or the CCC Supervisor.
* Assists in managing crisis situations requiring de-escalation of clients. Utilizes crisis intervention techniques and judgment that demonstrates the ability to intervene in potentially explosive situations with patient in a manner that maintains patient dignity and patient and staff safety.
* Demonstrates collaborative, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with patients, families, visitors, and interdisciplinary care team.
* Acts as a resource, role model and mentor. Responds to questions and assists with problem resolution. The MentalHealth Worker my be cross-trained as a case manager/discharge coordinator and may assist with case management duties.
* Performs clerical duties to maintain unit flow which may include paperwork coordination, working with the other team players to ensure timely client care and assisting the RN with 30 minute checks.
* Utilizes electronic applications to support daily staff and client workflow, which includes, but is not limited to intake paperwork, setting up client files, documenting significant client incidents. Ability to effectively utilize phone systems. Answers telephone calls and an occasional crisis call, responds to routine inquiries and relays other calls and messages promptly. Notifies appropriate personnel of requests.
* Occasionally transports clients during non emergent situations to appointments or to other service providers. And drives the CCC van to pick up food that is donated by other non profit agencies.
* MentalHealth Workers ensure that the CCC environment is clean and free from obstacles and debris. The main areas of focus are the observation and recovery bays, lobby and conference room, restrooms and showers and the front walk and garbage.
* Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

The Crisis Assessment Counselor is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team working with clients in an outpatient mentalhealth setting. While promoting the health and wellness of clients, the crisis assessment counselor completes a comprehensive assessment and determines the appropriate level of care and develops a stabilization plan for clients presenting in crisis. Clients present with complex medical, mentalhealth, substance use, social service needs and psychosocial needs. The Crisis Assessment Counselor collaborates with the internal interdisciplinary team, the local hospitals, and a client's support system (when appropriate) regarding the mentalhealth needs, diagnosis, symptoms, and lethality of a client's current condition. The Crisis Assessment Counselor coordinates referrals to community and mentalhealth service providers as needed. When clients need a higher level of care for mentalhealth or physical health needs, the crisis assessment counselor works with the Team to ensure the transfer and collateral information is provided to the entity accepting the client.
Essential Job Functions
* Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. * Assessment and Interventions to assist in the determination of a diagnosis and the level of care needed to admit a client to CCC stabilization services or to refer clients to other organizations for psychiatric care or community sheltering.
* Responds to telephone crisis calls and accepts referrals from other organizations, hospitals, and law enforcement.
* In collaboration with the CCC Team members evaluates, plans, organizes, implements, and documents safe therapeutic client care consistent with Crisis Center values/goals and Billings Clinic departmental policies and procedures and those of the CCC also. Consideration will be given to cultural diversity needs and the appropriateness of care based on each individual client.
* On occasion, may provide collateral information to assist Billings Clinic with involuntary detention and commitment to assure compliance with state laws and Billings Clinic policies and procedures.
* Utilizes interviews, the client's support system, and client record reviews to identify barriers, set proper goals, minimize anxieties and maximize client cooperation in resolving their immediate crisis.
* Develops collaborative relationships with the Billings Clinic Psychiatric Team. Also works closely with the CCC interdisciplinary team to provide the best care possible.

* Assists with internal auditing by completing peer counselor chart audits as directed by the CCC Supervisor. Will also comply with any necessary corrections, in a timely manner, on his/her own charts if there are corrections warranted.
* Coordinates with internal discharge coordinator and coordinates necessary referrals to ensure services are in place. Provides the paperwork in a timely manner for the discharge coordinator. Monitors the need for revisions in the stabilization plans and makes recommendations to the interdisciplinary team. Modifies stabilization plans to comply with changes in a client's situation or needs.
* Monitors the need for revisions in a client's goal and works with other CCC counselors to modify goals and ensure the client can comply with care that is consistent with their current stage of change. Provides documentation and justification when a client goal is modified. Documentation will be timely, reflect professional practice and consistent with CCC policy.
* Takes a lead role in debriefing crisis situations within the CCC when a stressful incident occurs with clients, employees, and or security.
* Maintains competency in departmental policies and processes that are relevant to the performance of the counseling position.
* Identifies and anticipates problems and safety issues and initiates appropriate action. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or client safety standards relevant to job performance

The Licensed Clinical Therapist is responsible for the full range of functions typically performed by a licensed counselor in a private practice out-patient setting.
