Services may include behavior modification (BMod), family support (FS), and psychosocial rehabilitative services (PRS), all tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Engage in internal and external communication, public relations, and collaboration with referral sources and community stakeholders. Represent the program in agency workgroups or initiatives designed to enhance treatment services. Participate actively in staff and regional team meetings while demonstrating support for colleagues and promoting a collaborative team culture. Maintain the required number of annual training hours as directed by federal, state, and agency regulations. Licensed staff must also meet the requirements of their respective licensing boards. Manage a caseload of clients, providing 25-30 hours of direct service per week. Deliver authorized RBHS services across a variety of settings (home, school, community), always aligning interventions with the client's treatment plan, Growing Hope expectations, referring agency guidelines, and Medicaid standards. Maintain service hours in accordance with the Medicaid authorization, the client treatment plan, and Growing Hope expectations. In support of our purposes to improve communities, we are expanding our in-patient services beyond medical detoxification to reduce barriers to accessing necessary residential treatment for opioid-use and co-occurring substance use disorders by creating a new residential treatment program. This SCORF (South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund) grant-funded Clinical Counselor provides individual and group counseling of an advanced nature to patients residing in LRADAC's Residential Treatment Program. POSITION LOGISTICS Full-time 37.5 hours a week Schedule is routinely daytime schedule Sunday - Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Evening and holiday hours may be required. Grant-funded position with a June 30, 2026 end date. Position continuance contingent upon grant renewal. EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in a field related to clinical behavioral health is required. At least one (1) year of experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment is required. Experience in a residential/in-patient setting is highly preferred. Must have reliable transportation and valid SC driver's license. Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and/or Licensure as an LPHA preferred. If not fully independently licensed as LPHA, must obtain ADC certification within three (3) years. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Completes biopsychosocial assessments for newly admitted patients and develops individualized treatment plans and goals. Manages and monitors patient progress, identifies patient needs, and maintains all clinical records through independent work as well as treatment team engagement. Utilizes education and training with creativity to develop evidence-based therapeutic curriculum. Provides up to six hours of individual, group and crisis intervention counseling services per day (M-F) and up to five hours of services on weekends. Manages case load to assure comprehensive quality care of a patient, including transition planning for next level care. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including medical detox providers, nurses, support staff, and clinicians as well as outpatient clinical staff to ensure comprehensive wrap-around services.
