About the Role BNI Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Clinical Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with our clinical staff to support the treatment and growth of adolescents in our care. You will play a key role in supervising clients, facilitating clinical activities, and helping shape a constructive therapeutic community. The Metro Mental Health Specialist works as a team member of a multi-disciplinary homeless street outreach team (MDT), in collaboration with social service professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality care in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Los Angeles Department of Health Services (DHS). The Metro Mental Health Specialist as part of the DHS ICMS Street Based Engagement Outreach (SBE) Team, will work in a variety of settings that will involve traveling on public transportation and on HYC designated vehicles. The Metro Mental Health Specialist will travel with the MDT Outreach team to a variety of sites including but not limited to transit stops on bus and rail line stops/stations, homeless encampments, shelters, drop-in centers, mobile outreach teams, and other areas as designated by DHS. The Mental Health Specialist will use the whatever it takes approach to help people experiencing homelessness with mental health support and interventions on the field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate connections with local mental health providers to establish a network of resources. Provides mental health assessments, counseling, and interventions when necessary. Provide crisis intervention implementation, especially for clients experiencing the effects of mental health crisis.
