Job Announcement Exciting opportunity to join multi-disciplinary team at the state-of-the-art Wellness Circle Crisis Stabilization Unit, a 16-bed, short-term residential crisis stabilization unit that serves individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities who are in psychiatric crisis. Services include crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling, case management, medication management, social and medical detoxification and linking individuals to ongoing mental health, substance use or co-occurring services. Monitors symptoms and behavior of clients and provides crisis intervention/crisis stabilization services under clinical supervision. This position is primarily responsible for 10-hour, awake overnight shift coverage, including weekends and holidays. General Job Information This position is located in the Health & Human Services Department, Service Design and Engagement, Public Services Division at the DC Public Library (DCPL). The Health & Human Services Department focuses on providing enhanced library services, social services, and public health services to the District's most vulnerable residents and to support staff in their work with these patrons. The Department does this using trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches to serving patrons. For the past five years, DCPL has offered peer support to customers experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance use challenges. A day hospital is a psychiatric program you attend during weekdays, returning to the comfort of home in the evenings and on weekends. It is a less intensive level of care than inpatient but provides more support than an outpatient setting. Many people we serve find that day hospital treatment is a helpful step down from inpatient care before returning to daily life or that it is an effective intensity of treatment to help avoid an inpatient stay. The National Women's Law Center (NWLC) seeks a LAW STUDENT intern for summer 2026 to to support the work of the Reproductive Rights and Health team, focusing on promoting reproductive rights and access to comprehensive, affordable health care, including abortion and birth control, via litigation and policy advocacy. This is a full-time, non-exempt paid position of 37.5 hours per week to start June 1, 2026, and end August 7, 2026. This work may be done remotely, hybrid, or in-person.
