Our team is expanding and looking for new team members in support of our Crisis Stabilization Facility - Ekolu!
You will be developing clinically based treatment relationships with persons diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and helping them integrate into the community using a structured recovery plan: obtaining psychiatrist visits, medications, housing, substance abuse treatment, legal coordination and other services.

Minimum Qualifications

Provides information and resources to members with mental health and dual disorders. Knowledgeable of KP and community resources. Provides clinical consultation in an integrated health care environment regarding family interactions, sociocultural determinants, and community resources.
May participate in KP sponsored researches, collects and records data and information relating to identification and treatment of behavioral and interpersonal problems of members. Proposes alternatives for interventions and approaches for resolutions.
Maintains high level of clinical expertise. Is knowledgeable of current clinical conditions, methods, medications, theoretical frameworks, and interventions. Utilizes best practices in delivery of behavioral health crisis services in accordance with professional and clinical guidelines. Utilizes evidence-based interventions and modalities with sound theoretical base.
Maintains written medical record of services rendered which may include crisis intervention, screening, and triages, collateral contacts, evaluations, and therapy.
Participates in clinical team meetings, departmental planning, and quality management activities.
Complies with organizational, departmental, state/federal guidelines & all regulatory agency policies and procedures.
Adheres to all mandated guidelines for patients clinical care and license.

Hale Kipa is looking for Youth Counselors to work with youth between the ages of 12 and 17, who are placed in the Hale Ho'opakele, (a type of Emergency Shelter) because they have been identified as having some kind of involvement with sex trafficking. Youth can be referred by various referral sources and the length of stay in the emergency shelter is anywhere from 1 day to 30+ days, while youth await return home or another more permanent placement.
Youth Counselors need to be able to manage crisis situations appropriately and help youth work through issues they are experiencing. They need to provide a stable, safe, structured, and nurturing environment, that encourages youth to participate in a program structure that includes: chores, meals, bedtime, quiet time, study time, meetings, and participation in planned activities and outings. Youth Counselors also need to spend time discussing issues with youth to assist and support them in their emotional processing, encourage adaptive positive coping skill-building and solidify/set limits.

Our team is expanding and looking for new team members (full-time and part-time) for our overnight shifts at our Crisis Stabilization Facility - Ekolu!
You will be developing clinically based treatment relationships with persons diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and helping them integrate into the community using a structured recovery plan: obtaining psychiatrist visits, medications, housing, substance abuse treatment, legal coordination and other services.
You will report to the crisis stabilization facility to work with the mental health clients, work with the treatment team, communicate with stakeholders in the community, and complete vital documentation. Case Mangers also host skill building and recreational groups onsite to aide in client recovery.
This position is onsite in Kaneohe. The facility operates 24/7/365. No on-call is required. This facility is an indoor/outdoor therapeutic environment with ramps, stairs, and gravel/uneven ground.
**Currently Hiring for Overnight Shifts:
Overnight Shift 11pm-7am
Full time: Four or five 8 hour shifts (32-40 hours per week)
or
Part time: Two or Three 8-hour shifts (16-24 hours per week)
WE SUPPORT OUR CASE MANAGERS
We are a close-knit agency, and you will have ample support from your supervisors.
Your treatment team includes managers with an open-door policy and licensed professionals who are always available to consult with you at any time.
Additionally, you will have regular team meetings, clinical supervision with your supervisor, and ongoing behavioral health training. We provide ample training on evidence-based practices and community resources. Our approach to treatment is highly team oriented, so you always have the support of your peers and supervisors.
Requirements
Required High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Health, Nursing, Counseling (or similar degree with course work in psychology).
Preferred 6-12 months supervised experience (work, volunteer, or a combination) with at least one of the following populations: severely mentally ill (SMI/SPMI), developmentally disabled (DD), elderly, children, or other special needs populations.
Preferred: Access to a vehicle and valid driver's license, clean driving abstract, and valid safety check. We do have non-driving positions available but paid at a lower rate of pay.
People who do well in this role are passionate about helping people, is skilled in communication, time management, and are able to respond calmly under pressure/during crisis situations.
Benefits
$18 - $20 per hour, depending on background, education, and performance. Plus monetary benefits listed below.
This position has ample opportunity for overtime (time and a half pay) with the ability to pick up additional shifts
