What You Will Do to Change Lives
Peer Support Specialists engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served that assist the person to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Support Specialists provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS), in which each member's point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Support Specialists respond to critical situations with high level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing an emergency related to a mentalhealth/addiction challenge.
Shifts Available:
On Call; days and schedules vary as needed.
Expected starting wage is $21. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

The Clinician shall monitor and evaluate client's progress on identified goals in the treatment plan.
* Completes all required documentation in a timely manner for each assigned client and maintains a comprehensive set of treatment records as stipulated in the County MentalHealth Plan (MHP) or other agencies responsible for program oversight.
* Acts as the liaison between the program and family/community agencies including individuals such as Parents/Caregivers, Case Managers, County Social Workers, Teachers/Education Providers, and Probation Officers. The Clinician shall work with the family or care providers in the implementation of treatment plans and will maintain contacts with all important individuals in the client's life.
* Provides individual, family, and group counseling based on the needs of the clients served.
* Meets Agency service percentage standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if applicable.
* Completes other assigned program operational tasks in accordance with supervisory directives.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Completion of a clinical program with a Master's or Ph.D. degree in a field of behavioral science from an accredited educational institution.
* Holds a current license registration issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC)

JOB SUMMARY
The Clinician is responsible for establishing and implementing quality clinical treatment and case management for children and adolescents with special mentalhealth needs. Clinicians shall provide individual, group, and family therapy as well as rehabilitative services and case management in whatever setting is most beneficial for the identified client. In addition, the Clinician is responsible for completing all documentation and written reports required by the Agency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides comprehensive mentalhealth assessments on assigned clients to determine the need for mentalhealth services. Develops treatment plans and goals based on assessed areas of needs and strengths identified in the assessment. The Clinician shall monitor and evaluate client's progress on identified goals in the treatment plan.
Completes all required documentation in a timely manner for each assigned client and maintains a comprehensive set of treatment records as stipulated in the County MentalHealth Plan (MHP) or other agencies responsible for program oversight.
Acts as the liaison between the program and family/community agencies including individuals such as Parents/Caregivers, Case Managers, County Social Workers, Teachers/Education Providers, and Probation Officers. The Clinician shall work with the family or care providers in the implementation of treatment plans and will maintain contacts with all important individuals in the client's life.
Provides individual, family, and group counseling based on the needs of the clients served.
Meets Agency service percentage standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if applicable.
Completes other assigned program operational tasks in accordance with supervisory directives.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a clinical program with a Master's or Ph.D. degree in a field of behavioral science from an accredited educational institution.
Holds a current license registration issued by appropriate state agency consistent with standards outlined in the Agency's Clinical Staff Licensing Requirements policy. Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor {LPCC) license may be considered with prior approval from the Regional Director in consultation with the Director of Quality.
Must have good oral and writing skills in the English language, including the ability to write concise, informative professional reports and assigned documentation in a timely manner.
Must be able to effectively engage at risk populations including children, youth and their families in whatever setting is most convenient and beneficial to them.
POSITION/PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal automobile insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Agency's Personnel Policy: Motor Vehicle Operating Standards.
Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency's Personnel Policy: Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations. Must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB), and drug screening test.
Must be willing to complete a personal background investigation conducted by the State of California.
Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification (only when required by local county or program).
Must be flexible to work nights and weekends, may need to work a split-shift, varying schedule according to operational need.
Must be willing to work within a culturally integrated workplace, and be willing to respect human differences based upon protected classes as defined by state, federal and local laws, or any other condition that distinguishes people from one another.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Have an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in a residential, office or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching balancing and occasional carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently.
Physically able to walk up and down stairs routinely.
Physically able to perform Pro-ACT Restraint Techniques (Residential Programs Only), CPR and First Aid as trained.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle for traveling to recreational activities, home visits, DCFS and court locations which may be up to 100 miles driving distance.
Requires the ability to utilize computer and telephone systems, which includes the coordination of eye and hand and fine manipulation by the hands and fingers for typing, writing and working with files.

The Clinician shall work with the family or care providers in the implementation of treatment plans and will maintain contacts with all important individuals in the client's life.
* Provides individual, family, and group counseling based on the needs of the clients served.
* Meets Agency service percentage standard reflecting expected time spent with clients, if applicable.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

JOB SUMMARY: Sycamores is partnering with the 988 mentalhealth crisis hotline to provide support to people experiencing a mentalhealth crisis. The 988 hotline will provide initial phone support to all callers and triage calls to the Sycamores Mobile Crisis Outreach Program for in-person support. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team responds 7 days a week from 7:30pm to 8:30am, broken down by flexible shifts. The Mobile Crisis Outreach Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II or III (CADC), will respond, in person, to provide timely support including crisis stabilization, safety planning, assessment for danger to self/ others, and gravely disabled write51/50 holds as needed and provide follow up support. Utilizing the Mobile Crisis Outreach Program vehicle to respond to calls, this role co-responds with a Mobile Crisis Outreach Program Peer Support Specialist and is an integral part of the Sycamores larger Mobile Crisis Outreach Program including close partnership with the 988-call center, Riverside County Dispatch Center, police, sheriff, psychiatric hospitals and ambulance transport companies.
The Mobile Crisis Outreach Department evaluates the individual experiencing a “mentalhealth crisis” out in the field and takes measures to ensure the individuals safety (i.e., Evaluates if the individual requires involuntary hospitalization to ensure their safety). The Mobile Crisis Outreach Program CADC II or III takes the lead on care coordination and works collaboratively with the Mobile Crisis Outreach Program Peer Support Specialist to coordinate care i.e., locate hospitals, ambulances, housing, etc.). The Mobile Crisis Outreach Program responds to an individual's need for in-person evaluation for safety within specified geographical area (i.e., Desert, Mid-County and Western Regions.)
Starting Pay Range:
$70,304 - $74,000 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.)
Shift Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday 6 pm - 4 am
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Certified in the State of California as Level II or Level III Alcohol and Drug counselor required.

Valid California Driver's License

Master's degree in psychology, social work, or another related mentalhealth field
Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an Associate as an associate- ACSW, APC, AMFT
Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
How you will make a difference:
The mentalHealth Specialist assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mentalhealth professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visit clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mentalhealth needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff.

The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility tailored to adults aged 18-59 experiencing psychiatric crises. Its purpose is to provide a safe environment for stabilization, recovery, and community transition. Services offered include round-the-clock programs, therapeutic and mentalhealth services, rehabilitation and recovery support (including substance use rehabilitation), pre-vocational or vocational counseling, medication evaluation and support, daily exercise, health/wellness education, and crisis intervention.
