MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Wellspring's Crisis Stabilization Program:
The goal of Wellspring's Crisis Stabilization Program is to assist adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric episode. With our 24/7 care, we help people avoid hospitalization, achieve stabilization, and recover from acute mentalhealth symptoms such as severe depression, mania, or psychosis. Clients receive intensive treatment, close monitoring with high levels of staff support, and medications prescribed by a psychiatrist, if necessary, in a homelike setting. The 16-bed program has two locations - the Samuel B. Todd Center and the David J. Block Center. Both are licensed, accredited crisis stabilization offering the only services of their kind in the Louisville Metro region.
Wellspring Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) Peer Support Specialist Summary:
Peer Specialists are active members of the CSU multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing safety and support for the wellbeing of clients during their CSU stay. Peer Specialists provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention with the advice and consultation of the clinical team. Peer Specialists assist clients with their mentalhealth recovery through problem solving and life skills training via individual and group sessions. Peer Specialists complete electronic documentation of services during each shift worked.
Special Skills and Requirements:
The CSU Peer Specialist will identify as a mentalhealth consumer and must be willing to share their personal experience of mentalhealth recovery and support others in need. The CSU Peer Specialist will have a belief in recovery from mental illness and an enthusiasm for helping persons with disabilities, rooted in empathy and compassion, demonstrating a careful and caring attitude.
Candidates must be willing to share their personal experience of mentalhealth recovery and support others in need. The ideal candidate will have experience providing peer support services to clients experiencing serious mental illness and substance use disorders.

Must hold any state independent license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT This position has the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations and off military installations. These services may include non-medical counseling, training/ health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel, schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth. CYB School counselors will be assigned to Department of Defense (DoDEA) schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for a school position. CYB School counselors will also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation and the schools.
* Provides non-medical, short-term, solution focused, counseling directly to eligible children and youth of service members at assigned primary and secondary locations. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
* CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of DoDEA , community schools, summer camps (if available/assigned) as well as providing parent training and guidance.
* Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participates in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
* Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone, or web application, to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service/family member.
* Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth and provides appropriate linkages. Consistently visible within the school which allows MFLC services to be accessible when working with children, the counselor must abide by line of sight protocol (another adult with responsibility for the child must be able to see the counselor and child they are working with at all times).
* Partners with POC to provide CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an effective and professional working relationship with the installation/facility POC.
* Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to DoD protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
* Communicates with Regional Supervisor and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which they are assigned. Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) program manager. The CYB will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed or at the request of the Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
* Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees, initiatives, studies, pilot programs other contract activities as assigned/appropriate as directed by the customer and/or Magellan. This includes participation in pilot program certification and training processes, completion of activity documentation, integration of pilot activities in non-medical counseling work, and the utilization of applicable technology to complete required activities.

Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a MentalHealth related field.
Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner. A minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience
Demonstrate intermediate-level competencies in technology and software (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Smartphone/Tablet and application navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).

About Us: The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) is a medically-based camp that enriches the lives of campers. We're looking for energetic, positive, team-oriented, reliable, and flexible individuals to join us as part of our 2026 Summer Staff.
CCK offers several roles:
Den Counselors/Interns: Responsible for up to 6 campers' daily needs and guidance, navigating a weekly schedule. You'll work alongside fellow staff and volunteers to supervise, support, and build independence in campers, ensuring a high standard of care.
Program Counselors/Interns: Assigned to specific program areas (Arts & Crafts, Fun & Games, Archery, Lifeguarding, Photography, Equestrian, etc.), you'll plan and facilitate activities that help grow confidence and skills and join den groups for additional responsibilities.
Leadership Roles: We have several opportunities to provide leadership, support and help build incredible relationships between staff and campers. Roles include Lodge Leaders, Entertainment Leader, Aquatics Leader, Staff/Camper Support and Oldest Camper Leader.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts comprehensive assessments of the physical and social environments of patients in order to determine practical plans for eliminating undesirable conditions
Observes patients in various situations; ages; backgrounds; substance abuse, administers, and interprets intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment
Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of individual, and family therapies
Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs; accordingly, communicates with and counsels' family members as appropriate
Documents therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality
Provides crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate treatment
Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinical meetings, and workshops to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques
May develop and implement clinical research programs
LCSW/ LPCC may instruct and direct students serving internships at the clinic
Adheres to the terms and conditions set forth in BSHC's corporate compliance program.
Ensures confidential information in accordance with BSHC's policy and current HIPAA regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
* Master of Social Work or other relevant master's degree required
* Current licensure in Kentucky as an LCSW or LPCC required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work, and telemedicine audio/video environment
* No or very limited physical effort required
