Duties and Responsibilities The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. * Fulfill all duties related to his/her assignment as directed by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and the United States Department of Justice. This includes, but is not limited to, all policies in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), Texas Family Code, Bell County Employee Handbook, and Bell County Juvenile Services policies and procedures.
* Must have the ability to work with a diverse population.
* Conduct searches of persons and facilities as required to control contraband.
* Always maintain his/her appearance and appropriate professional behavior.
* Provides shift coverage as scheduled AND on an On-Call basis.
* Address behavioral issues/concerns of residents to ensure compliance and understanding while fostering a proactive and positive environment.
* Assist staff during any situation that requires the use of Handle with Care (the Department/Program recognized physical restraint/behavior modification system) and the department approved behavior management program.
* Work a schedule that will involve working weekends, evenings, or nights (shift work).
* Supervise residents in program activities such as meals, showers, school, indoor and outdoor recreation, and parental visitation.
* Perform housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain facility cleanliness.
* Maintain daily activity logs and reports as required.
* Write discipline and or incident reports as required.
* Notify immediate supervisor at least two hours prior to shift if calling in sick.
* Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
be at least 21 years of age; have no disqualifying criminal history; have no criminal history as described in §344.410(a) unless TJJD has reviewed it and determined the person is not ineligible for certification due to the criminal history; have acquired a high school diploma or its equivalent as specified in TAC§344.204; never have had any type of certification revoked by TJJD; complete the training required by TAC§344; and pass the certification exam.
Other Qualifications:
Regular attendance is essential. Incumbent must arrive at work on time, prepared to perform assigned duties and work assigned schedule. Incumbent must have the ability to work well with others. Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves and others. Must be able to effectively use computer software and data systems. Bell County will conduct background checks that will include a criminal background check and may include motor vehicle records, employment records or educational attainment. Physical Demands:

To meet program goals, classroom staff will occasionally be required to perform duties outside their alternate work schedule.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is a grant-funded position, and employment is contingent upon continued funding. As such in addition to standard background screening, additional background checks may be required in accordance with funding agency guidelines.
MST is an intensive family- and community-based treatment program that addresses all environments that impact high risk youth - homes and families, schools and teachers, neighborhoods and friends. MST clinicians:
Conduct MST assessment including review of referral information, identifying, and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context. Maintains a caseload of 4-6 families.
Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcomes review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the nine MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.
Ability to engage and collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system, to maintain alignment throughout MST treatment.
Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices.
Participate in all MST training, supervision, consultation, and MST Therapist development activities.
All services are provided in a person centered, trauma informed manner

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide clinical treatment to families using the MST treatment model and principles. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.
Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context.
Engage in weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members, including through group supervision.
Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model.
Work comfortably with a diverse community of clients
Learn how to effectively connect with the families in the communities served by the team.
Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment.
Will be on-call during the week and on a rotating schedule for coverage during the weekends.
While only one therapist works with a particular family, the MST team facilitates a supportive work environment to cover each other's clients for vacation/time off and support each other to maintain a work/life balance.
Develops and implements individualized program plans.
Maintains clients' progress records.
Serves as liaison between clients and their families, judicial systems, and treatment providers.
Assists with (intra) and (inter) agency service coordination and referral concerns.
Must stay compliant with all required training.

Attention all Behavioral Health Specialists, we are calling on all of you to work with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military in the State of Texas. Events are mostly on weekends, with some occasional weekdays on an "as needed basis".
We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:
U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)

U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)

Responsibilities:
Support the Periodic Health Assessments for soldiers.
Review Behavioral Health questionnaires.
Work with military providers on case-managed patients.
Requirements:
Active Clinical Social Worker license or Master Social Worker license in the state
Prior experience in a clinical social health setting
Experience working with military or veterans- preferred
Must have weekend availability
Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office

* At the conclusion of the program, an Individual Progress Summary will be developed for each offender on caseload to reflect the evaluation results together with comments about the offender's level of participation and quality of completion in SAFPF/IPTC programs.
* Submit a copy of the Individual Progress Summary to the Parole Division to be included in the Parole Case Summary.
Qualifications:
* Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED) required.
* Two (2) years full-time, wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment or substance abuse education.
* Current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) or current valid certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals, OR current qualifying credential to conduct counseling in a treatment environment.
* A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
* Must successfully complete annual, TDCJ approved background checks and in-service training requirements.
