    Job Description: Licensed Clinical Therapist Position Title: Licensed Clinical Therapist Organization: Capitol City Residential Health Care Location: Memphis Tennessee; Jackson Tennessee Reports To: Clinical Supervisor Employment Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract] Job Summary: The Licensed Clinical Therapist provides professional counseling and therapeutic interventions to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. The Therapist conducts assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides clinical supervision to counseling staff as required, and ensures compliance with state guidelines and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling services using evidence-based practices for children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. Regularly review and update individualized treatment plans based on client progress. Provide clinical supervision to counseling interns and counseling staff, as applicable and according to Tennessee state guidelines. Ensure documentation, including clinical notes, assessments, and treatment plans, is timely, thorough, and complies with regulatory requirements. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, families, caregivers, and external providers. Provide crisis intervention services as needed. Attend supervision, training sessions, and departmental meetings as required. Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical mental health field. Active Tennessee licensure required: LPC/MHSP, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist with Health Service Provider (HSP) designation, or related licensure. Minimum 3-5 years clinical experience, preferably working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges. Approved clinical supervisor credentials or willingness to obtain certification preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills. Familiarity with state Medicaid documentation standards and compliance requirements. Ability to provide effective clinical supervision and guidance to counseling staff. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication. Crisis intervention and conflict resolution abilities. Competency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard computer applications. Work Environment: Services may be provided in clinical, residential, or community settings. Therapists should be prepared for flexible scheduling, including potential evening or weekend hours based on client needs. Educational Requirements: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Licensure: Must maintain active licensure in good standing in Tennessee. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Work closely with other professionals as a multidisciplinary treatment team, to provide holistic care. Develop safety plans and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. Engage in community outreach to promote mental health services and attract new clients. Mississippi: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required. Minimum of two years' experience working with children and/or families, which may include internships. Must be eligible for licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW. North Carolina: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
