As the leader of the treatment team, a therapist is responsible for providing clinical assessments, counseling, advocacy, and support services for a diverse caseload including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing multiple and complex trauma, as well as a myriad of other mental health challenges and their expression. Behavioral Health Specialist Reports To: Director of Behavioral Health & Social Services Under the leadership of the Director of Behavioral Health & Social Services, the Behavioral Health Specialist is a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) responsible for performing assessment and treatment activities for PACE Southeast Michigan participants presenting with behavioral health related issues and diagnoses. Collaborates with and provides consultation services to Primary Care Providers and serves as a liaison between Primary Care and Psychiatry.
