About the Role The Pediatric Behavioral Health Specialist (or Braver Coach) is responsible for implementing, observing, and documenting an exposure therapy treatment plan for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders at the outpatient level of care. The Braver Coach also contributes to ongoing assessment and re-formulation of the treatment plan. The Coach works under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer and supervision of a treating psychologist. The Braver Coach provides care at Braver offices, in community settings such as the home or school, and through video teleconference. The Coach will drive to community sites in her/his/their own vehicle (mileage reimbursed using standard national rate). Care is provided to individuals, families, and groups at the outpatient level of care. Develop and implement outreach programs for prevention of dysfunction and marginalization. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications REQUIRED: 1. Master's degree in social work, psychology or related filed. 2. Experience in counseling or psychotherapy at a college or university or with a similar aged population. 3. Current licensure within the State of Rhode Island or ability to obtain within six months of appointment. 4. Experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment. 5. Psychotherapy experience, including the provision of services to individuals and groups. 6. Knowledge of individual pathology and normal developmental challenges with considerations of culture and context. 7. Supervisory experience. 8. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. 9. Proficiency in written communication skills. 10. Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
