About the role
We are looking for a sharp, forward thinking Lead Counsel, Payments and Regulatory to expand our portfolio of financial products. What you will do
Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the business, including product, engineering, operations, and marketing teams, on our US and global payments and fintech offerings
Provide product counseling across the product lifecycle-from ideation and design through launch and scale-covering regulatory analysis, risk assessment, terms and disclosures, marketing, and regulator interactions
Navigate complex and evolving global regulatory frameworks to enable compliant product development
Help design and scale the legal infrastructure for payments in the US and around the globe
Embed legal and compliance into product and business initiatives while enabling speed, innovation, and customer impact
Craft and implement pragmatic, efficient, and scalable legal and compliance solutions
What you will need
6+ years experience in a payments or fintech legal role (money transmission, lending, banking-as-a-service, or general fintech) at a law firm or in-house legal department

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

COMPENSATION:

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) manages and maintains the safety of the individuals and staff. Takes vitals and assists individuals in meeting their needs while on the unit by providing exceptional customer service. Documents services provided and significant interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
* Conducts security screening and inventories property of individuals upon admission to the facility. Provides orientation to the Observation Unit and Short-term Inpatient Unit. Educates individuals on their rights under Washington State regulations, grievance process, provides expectations, and explains rules and regulations.
* Maintains safety of the unit.
* Intervenes with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation and performs restraints or seclusions (if applicable) when needed to ensure the individual's safety and the safety of others. Completes 1-to-1 on an individual in seclusion or mechanical restraints for 15 minutes.
* Lifts, moves and transports individuals, using proper body mechanics and accident prevention.
* Assists individuals with activities of daily living to include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
* Conducts and documents individual's vitals and reports all questionable results to the RN/Physician attending the individual. Conducts and documents all BAL, urine drug screens, and urine pregnancy tests.
* Attends court ordered hearings when subpoenaed and be a witness on a petition and provide testimony at court ordered hearings.
* Documents all services and significant individual interactions in the Electronic Health Record.
* Monitors and documents individuals every 15 minutes.
* Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility and designated assigned unit. Performs light cleaning of interior center, collects soiled linen, and launders individuals clothing when needed.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Harborview's 5 Maleng Building Psychiatry Intensive Care Unit.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to Code Gray alerts and other crises by securing patients, supporting staff, and following charge nurse directives
Complete crisis intervention/prevention training and apply techniques as needed
Assist with patient assessments, discharge planning, and documentation
Conduct safety checks on patient belongings and visitors to remove hazardous items
Participate in patient rounds, suicide assessments, and monitor for behavioral changes
Notify nursing staff of patient distress or changes in demeanor
Deliver court-related notices and assist patients with legal paperwork
Support patients through court-mandated treatment processes and advocate for their care
Provide basic physical care and perform tasks delegated by RNs
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and document care in the electronic medical record
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree; AND one year as a MentalHealth Specialist I, or equivalent; experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Valid/Active Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) or Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR) with the state of Washington. Prior to employment.

Some of what you'll do
* Actively engage patients in direct care, leading or co-leading Active Treatment Groups either on-ward and/or within the treatment mall setting.
* Complete required active treatment documentation, including progress notes, interventions in treatment plans or addendums, and attendance records.
* Develop comprehensive active treatment groups and individual treatment strategies for patient caseload using standard practices and evidence-based treatment for regular occurring events and one-time engagements.
* Attend treatment team and daily team meetings to discuss progress, share input, and provide a strategy for patient treatment.
* Research evidence-based practices and group preparation.
* Order/gather supplies for groups, and escort patients to and from activities and groups.
* Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing court-ordered Staff Escorted Community Outings.
Who should apply
Those with a bachelor's degree, preferably involving a major in sociology, psychology, or another social science.

JOB DEFINITION:
Homeless Outreach Stabilization and Transition (HOST) is a multi-disciplinary team serving homeless adults experiencing severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders. The team prioritizes services to those who are highly vulnerable, lack service connections or other support, and are unwilling or unable to engage in traditional service models. The team works throughout the greater Seattle area to provide critical survival services and engagement with the ultimate goal of addressing acute mental and physical health needs, increasing stability, obtaining housing, and transitioning to long-term services. Referrals to this program will often include individuals with a history of involuntary detainments or observable behavioral health challenges, they often will not endorse a mentalhealth or substance use issue, or have the insight into the impact of their well-being and access to care and resources.
The HOST MentalHealth Peer Specialist uses their lived experience of recovery from mental illness and/or substance use and addiction, plus skills learned in formal training, to assertively engage HOST clients into intensive services. This position requires a high degree of coordination and collaboration with other DESC programs as well as outside agencies. This role is supervised by a HOST/Pathfinder Clinical Supervisor who will consult with the SAGE Peer Supervisors as needed for peer supervision support and resources. A condition of employment is completion of the Washington State Peer Counselor Training and obtaining certification within one year of employment at DESC.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of clinical, outreach, medical, peer support, and intensive case management staff to provide a variety of services focused on stabilization and transition to long-term behavioral health or other appropriate ongoing services.
Provide outreach and engagement services as assigned, in clinic, on the streets, shelters, encampments, DESC projects, and other community areas. On occasion, services may be provided in outlying King County areas.
Identify individuals in need, screen for appropriateness to services, develop rapport and trust while offering support, and assist with immediate and basic needs to individuals who are homeless. Efforts are balanced between initial outreach and follow-up activity.
Assist in obtaining and coordinating services, including services relating to daily living activities, personal financial planning, benefit enrollment, transportation, and case management. Link HOST clients to supportive and long-term resources, including behavioral, medical, and substance use treatment support and housing.
Provide peer recovery support to HOST clients. Integrate personal experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorders into work with program participants.
Assist consumers with voicing and identifying their interests and goals.
Advocate for clients' access to community resources and services, ensuring that clients' needs are met and rights maintained; consult and collaborate with community providers to ensure continuity of care, facilitate linkages to collaborative resources when appropriate.
Prioritize crisis intervention with clients as needed. This may include de-escalation, outreach in emergency departments, and/or making referrals to the County Designated Crisis Response system.
Interact with general client population, intervene in crisis situations with individual clients and screen clients for HOST eligibility when appropriate.
Participate in education of service community regarding the needs of homeless clients with mental illness/co-occurring disorders, techniques of engagement and service provision.
Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with current programs providing services for homeless and mentally ill persons. Encourage development of new services.
Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with DESC staff, and other service and resource organizations to ensure full continuity of care for clients.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in psychiatric consultation, supervision, program meetings, and in service trainings; participate in clinical reviews and case conferences for clients on caseload.
Comply with the agency's clinical accountability policies and procedures; maintain timely and complete clinical records; participate in quality assurance reviews when assigned.
Comply with applicable program research and evaluation procedures.

LIVING CONDITIONS:
Support your clients with achieving and maintaining healthy living conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainee (CPSS-T) credential through the Washington State Department of Health or ability to gain certification within 60 days of hire.
Completion of “Crisis Awareness and Communication in Peer Support (CACPS)” training or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
Lived experience as a consumer of behavioral health services (mentalhealth and/or substance use treatment) or be the parent or legal guardian of a child who has received behavioral health services.
Interest in working with clients who are difficult to engage and maintain in traditional mentalhealth/substance use disorder programs.

The Counseling Center serves all students, including those who are facing personal and educational challenges as well as those who are undecided in their major and/or career. We strive to support these students by promoting a holistic sense of self and wellness by providing personal, educational, and career counseling as well as Human Development courses and workshops. We also support faculty and staff and the overall BC community through consultation and training. These services are interconnected through the overarching lenses of mentalhealth and social justice.

BC Counseling Center's Holistic Approach to MentalHealthcare
At the Bellevue College Counseling Center, mentalhealth and well-being are central to everything the counselors do. This focus is embedded across their workshops, outreach events, and classroom visits, where counselors share information about available services and address topics such as stress management, test anxiety, and other mentalhealth-related concerns. They also engage with students at various campus events by staffing informational tables.
Counselors extend their support into the classroom by teaching Human Development (HD) courses, which emphasize mentalhealth and student success topics such as self-esteem, stress management, learning strategies, personal relationships, motivation, assertiveness, and career exploration. These classes provide a structured and supportive environment for students to explore issues that are often discussed in individual counseling, but in a way that may feel more approachable due to the stigma surrounding one-on-one mentalhealth services.
In addition to working directly with students, counselors consult with faculty and staff to support students who may be experiencing emotional challenges. These consultations help equip college personnel with the psychological insight needed to better assist their students.
The Counseling Center offers a full range of direct services, including individual counseling for personal, academic, career, and crisis-related concerns.
Essential Functions
An internship student at the Counseling Center performs duties and responsibilities under the general direction of the Site Supervisor. The internship student will receive at least one-hour of weekly individual clinical supervision with a licensed mentalhealthcounselor and/or licensed psychologist. The internship student also has the opportunity to participate in the Counseling Center's weekly staff meetings and case consultations.
Below are the typical duties of an internship student:
* Provide culturally-competent and socially-just short- and long-term individual (personal, educational, and career) and group counseling.
* Assist students with identifying and resolving problems affecting their educational and personal development by clarifying short- and long-range educational/personal/occupational goals.
